Intro
Attack
While an attack seems to be most deserving of a special effect like Doom or Hangover, you’re most likely going to be using your attack the most out of all your options. So you can use Deadly Strike to add even more damage & critical strike chance, or you can take Lightning Strike to add a little extra to your attacks.
Special
The special attack is where your special effects should really come in, as you will kind of use it on the side of your attack. So you can go with Curse of Pain, which inflicts Doom upon your enemies upon attacking them with your special. Doom does extra damage after a short period of time. You could also choose Drunken Flourish, which inflicts Hangover, which essentially poisons the enemy.
Dash
Dash, in its simplest form, is just a way to avoid attacks. Two dash boons stood out against the rest to me, which achieved what the dash is meant to do. So, you could go for Divine Dash, which allows you to deflect projectiles right back at the sender, which renders you immune to any kind of damage while you are dashing. But if you can’t seem to find Athena, then Tidal Dash, is another great option, which pushes enemies away where you land after dashing. This also destroys most projectiles, from what I know.
Cast
The cast is a way to deal more damage at a time, and any good player would use it a lot.
A great player would use the cast that deals the most damage possible, in order to, well, do more damage. So I have picked out the two most effective casts. Number one is Crystal Beam, which fires a laser in the direction you fired it in. It also tracks enemies, but very slowly. If you’re mad that your Boiling/Abyssal Blood isn’t coming in for an effect, or you’re just not to the point where you meet Demeter, than you’re going to want to use Electric Shot, which deals electric damage and bounces between foes before eventually getting stuck in one.
Call
The call is where the gods really excel, as they are a powerful source of damage that cannot be stopped until you die. The greater call is also extremely powerful, especially against bosses. Two specific calls were always that powerful source of damage for me, Artemis’ Aid, which sends a high-damage, seeking arrow that is useful for taking out extra enemies bosses like (SPOILER ALERT) Hades and the Furies. Another powerful call that can do just the same would be Zeus’ Aid, in which Zeus strikes lightning around you, mainly trying to target enemies that are relatively close to you.
