Basic Achievements
It’s Not Safe To Go Alone
Just let enemies beat on you until you’re dead – done. Can also combine with What’s That Sound? to get both at once.
Settling In
Find the teleporter in the first level (near the bottom of most levels).
Oh ♥♥♥♥
Find all 3 runes (red circles on the ground) and walk over them – not found in every stage but should find this a couple times easily in each world.
Surging Power
Spend 80 Juice on a monument twice and this will unlock – be careful not to blow it up!
I Meant To Do That
Shoot a monument until it blows up, although be warned that when you do so it will increase the threat level significantly.
Full of Swag
Buy 10 different items (not boosts) at the shop. You’ll almost certainly get this in a full game clear but if you’re focused on just this note that some items are pretty expensive (think the minimum is 100 Juice and the most expensive is 350). You’ll likely get this on the way to Juice Must Flow
Juice Must Flow
Pretty straightforward, you’ll likely unlock this naturally when beating the game.
Rocket Jump
Leapers are the things that dash at you and avoid damage when you hit them – just need to hit them and have them get hit by an explosion while in midair.
And Stay Down
There’s a green dinosaur-looking enemy in world 2 that turns into an egg when killed. Kill it but let the egg live and it will respawn the enemy, so just need to do that a couple times on the same enemy and it’ll pop.
What’s That Sound?
Bombers are the things with TNT strapped to their backs. Often found in the first stage so get low health and find one to blow you up.
Chaos Theory
(Commando Recommended)
Probably the most annoying achievement to get, I got this by reloading the first stage until it had Bombers in it and then gathered them up while killing other enemies in the way. In order to make sure they died from the explosion I shot them each once so they were low health but be careful if you’re using Commando as there is a burn chance on hit that could make this annoying. You only need 3 Bombers in total here and also note that they can all blow up as a result of the first one exploding so you don’t have to chain one into the next and so on.
Untouchable
(Commando recommended)
Pretty easy to get in the first stage if you turn off Threat Spawns and play carefully, which is a lot easier if you have long range and the enemies are all melee. Also note that you don’t need to actually kill / explore everything so if you find the teleporter you can just take it.
Glimpse of Terror
The first boss is found at the last stage on the map.
Alien Tamer
Pretty straightforward – just kill the first boss and this will unlock.
Nope
Portable Battery is a 300 Juice boost but it DOESN’T take up an item slot. Also note that a forge is not guaranteed to spawn in a level so make sure to pick one up well in advance.
Character-specific Achievements
Requires Commando – find an enemy that shoots bullets and Dodge Roll into it. Pretty sure don’t always spawn in the first stage but should definitely be there by stage 2.
Blast-Em-All
Requires Commando – I got this in the first stage as it often (always?) spawns melee-only enemies. Just run around and gather up a bunch of them and drop a bomb and hopefully this unlocks. Note that you don’t need to KILL 8 enemies just HIT them.
High Roller
Requires Commando – easy to get but you might die a few times trying to line it up right. I got this in the first level by just grouping up a bunch of the melee enemies (more than the 8 needed) and hoping for the best. Note that the enemies that turn into an obscuring fog move faster than the rest so you’ll want to kill them in order to have all the enemies grouped up easily.
Vamonos Pest
Requires Magnus – pretty easy to get if you leave Threat Spawns on or against the first boss which spawns worms when he gets to ~ half health.
Yeah, you better run!
Requires Preacher – use his fear and shoot that enemy dead. Doesn’t need anything fancy but if you want the first perk upgrades damage done to enemies while feared so grab that if you need it.
This. Is. Sparta!
Requires Preacher (Tackle) or Unum (Warp Portal w/ the Xen Node perk) – pits are the black terrain that you can’t walk through / over. Unum is probably the best option here as I’m pretty sure you can also get this when you do Nice Try (worms spawn when he’s at ~ half health).
Nice Try
Requires Unum – can get this easily during any of the Grongo Slayer challenges so feel free to load that one up to get it if you don’t want to play through the whole first world.
Endgame / secret-related
Found in the first world by killing the enemies that spawn from the first blood altar. It will spawn at the blood altar after complete.
Hardest Excavation
Found in the second world underneath the “undiggable” green terrain. Requires Obsidian Hammer so be sure to buy that before you get there. Seems to spawn randomly but always seems to spawn under a large, uniform square block roughly 9×9 tiles in size. Think this can be found anywhere from 2-2 to 2-6.
So Shiny
The secret level is found behind “undiggable” terrain so requires the Obsidian Hammer. It appears to always be in the level right before the final boss but I may have seen it one level before then as well. At the very least seems to always spawn at some point after the 2nd data fragment.
If you’re having trouble finding the entrance it looks like this:
Also note that beating the secret level is also required for Returning Home
Mission Accomplished
Beat the boss at the end of world 2. Not sure if this is mutually exclusive with Returning Home.
Returning Home
Need to find the secret level and acquire the coordinates from the computer at the bottom. Once you interact with it BOTH of the minibosses from world 1 and 2 will spawn and you’ll have to kill them to exit. After that just beat the game normally and this will unlock.
