“Welcome gamers! Are you struggling to unlock the “mass production miracle” achievement? Look no further, as this guide will help you conquer this challenging and time-consuming task. We’ll break down the steps and provide tips to make this achievement a little less tricky. Let’s get started!”
Prologue
And to be clear, this is more like a journal since I am finishing this achievement as I am making this guide. I will try to think to tips and tricks as I am playing
I STRONGLY suggest you finish the whole game and have all weapons unlocked first, or if you don’t want to grind a lot, I suggest you to own the following weapons:
Beam cannon, second to none at Anti GB work
Charge laser, for when you need something lower weight, but still want to
annihilate GB for mission with both types of enemies
Rocket pods, king of bugs squashing, high firerate, good damage and best of all Explosive >:D
Bazooka, same thing with the rocket pod, except this one takes you hand spot
Heavy cannon, great at anti GB, but even better at anti horde, only hindered by the firerate when against bugs.
Cannon, the worse heavy cannon, but it is good when working in conjunction with other explosive weapons when fighting against bugs (worse because of the smaller explosion radius and less ammo).
(optional) P-shooter, worse weapon in the game, including internal weapons, low firerate and low ammo cap hinders its ability at being a used as anti-missile utility weapons, but it is better than just leaving the remaining 10 weight empty. Moreover this thing does not ever run out of ammo, so it is better to defend yourself with this thing than your Vulcan when all ammo runs dry since it does more damage per shots anyways (still takes 6 shots to kill a bug tho) (Vulcans are still pretty good at finishing what this thing started btw)
(optional) TAC-missile, good at anti GB if you don’t want to/can’t aim, and it can one shot spider tanks and some GB and 2 shot the rest.
(Optional) Homing rockets, shoulder TAC-missile but with less ammo and multi-lock capability
Now let me introduce you to your partner from this point forward until the end of this run:
GB-01 “Mirabilis”, also known as “Mirabilis regular type” in the achievement description
This thing is the first GB that you would’ve likely piloted. It has the third worst armor, only beaten the commander type and Seriema; the third worst thruster capacity, beaten by Saprolite and the DLC Eclectus; the second worst FCS of just level 1; the worst carry capacity of just 100. The only thing that it has going for it is the 250 speed and the average melee control of level 2. While the description above may have you believe that this thing is just the worst, it is not. That 250 speed is the savior of the run, because that means you can actually out strafe Bug missiles, it has the second best utility internal weapons (beaten only by Balearica Genghis 3 R-type’s laser), which combined with the speed can have you retreat long enough to shoot down normal missiles or out right dodge them entirely.
Tap flying is a technique that you need to know, it is just tapping space bar when the heat build up is near its’ peak, best used when you are retreating, which is what you should do if your heat has built up to the point where you need this technique
And one more thing before we get into it. Because this is a universal thing. DON’T GET HIT. This is really important, cause these guys hurts, bugs and GB alike, so keep your distance, boost is a good way to dodge so don’t overheat. Also don’t forget your Vulcan guns (slot 1) these are crazy good at anti-missile just don’t try it with the homing bug projectile I don’t think it works on those
Mission 1: Transfer order
or
Tips and tricks: there is not much to say here, this is the easiest mission there is.
Mission 2: Blue Harvest
If you have problem with just GB and is comfy with a twin gun only against bugs.
If you are comfy with fighting GB and is fine without hitscan and just need better explosive option. Just a reminder to not shoot at the truck or it is a fast pass to mission failure.
Great all rounder giving both a hitscan option and a decent horde clearing (not that you’ll need the horde clearing, cause there is not many of them)
Tips: just be sure to top up before the fight with the GBs there should be health kits around. Also since your whole loadout uses high velocity projectile, don’t try to lead too much with where you are shooting. unless you are shooting with rockets
Mission 3: Deep dark
The beam cannon just works.
or alternatively this loadout, TAC-missile and homing rocket can one-shot spider tanks and the
cannon is really just a slot filler, but it does have a fast projectile so it is easy to hit those little critter with it
there is not much tips other than shoot first, these things can really hurt if you let them shoot at you.
Mission 4: Wildlife survey
For tips and tricks: try to single out the bugs with you hand weapon, this is why we chose the rifle, because it does decent damage but only against 1 bug at a time
Chose target like this
This is not good, you want them to come at you one at a time, your sword is a good choice if you want to remove a group like this
Mission 5: Chance encounter
or
Same thing with mission 2 except GB cannot be one-shot by missiles. But they are still really good. Beam cannon also work well, note that the beam cannon penetrates, so if you line them up perfectly you can kill multiple with one round
Tips and tricks: you can actually use all 3 weapons slots for the cargo, and you can get 2 rounds of 3 cargo run before the enemy GB attack you if you are fast enough
Mission 6: Angle of attack
Or
Tips and tricks: The most useful asset given here is the supply drop, this thing gives a turret that takes friendly damage, but are quite useful. Spam these between waves to build up your defense.
And another thing is to aim at the center of the group when big waves come to maximize your killing potential (duh) if they are neatly lined up, you can also do a “bombing run” by directly flying at the horde while unloading your rocket pod or launcher.
Mission 7: Flyswatter
The other loadout here is workable, but in my experience, the one with the cannon handles better.
Tips and tricks: Treat this mission like a high stakes game of the floor is lava; keep moving between the building in the city, and keep an eye out with your ammo, these buggers has a tendency to horde up where you last touch the cloor, use that to make an easy group to blow up.
Also be very careful with the missile bugs, those little critters really hurts, and that thing will put you down very quickly.
Misson 8: Tools of the trade
The heavy cannon is very versatile here, it deals with the bugs easily, and will one-shot GB, and with a well-placed shot can even take out multiple at once. You should use the heavy cannon to do most of the heavy lifting here
Tips and trick: there is no much here, but just don’t shoot the blonde chick. Your cannon will kill her if you shoot too close.
Mission 9: Fumigation
Same as before this loadout just handles better.
Tips and tricks: same as before, use their quirk of gathering at where you last stand on reachable ground to make them stay the same point, and stay mobile.
Mission 10: Helping hand
I suggest this loadout as well:
Tips and tricks: the previous mention capability to penetrates for the beam cannon is really handy when you start the boss battle, the 2 grunt is so close to the Tartu(boss) that it makes it easy to line up a shot to kill both grunt with one shot each while dealing damage to Tartu.
similar thing can be done with the splash damage of the heavy cannon
Yes, I will Tartu, this is a skill issue.
Mission 11: Mock battle
Tips: and tricks: this is the perfect example of the missile problem that is to come. When the warning of the missile come be sure to pull out your Vulcans to shoot the missile down, because unlike the bug missiles, regular missiles are quite persistent.
Mission 12: Expedition
Tips and tricks: The mission have you clearing out hordes of bugs in the first part and protecting 3 probes at the second, note that only 1 probe needs to survive, and the probes do not take any damage from your weapons, so when hordes of bug swarms the probe, you can blow them all up with your explosives. But keep in mind that you should probably stick around the probes anyways, because the bugs can mow your probes down really quick if left unattended.
Mission 13: Crawling inferno
Tips and trick: Do not be Miska, don’t rush into the horde and expect result. While you are meant to protect the gate, it is not the worst idea to let the bugs built up a bit there before wiping them out with a cannon shot. It is the upmost important thing that you do NOT run out of boost outside of the walls here, because the second you touch the ground out there, all those lasers, bug missiles, chargers, and the massive horde of bugs will mow you down in a hundredth of a seconds (you can get out of it if you panic spam enough explosive assuming you are not chased by 8 beams and/or 50 bug missiles at the same time)
RIP Miska
For the second part of the mission, you were to pilot the RR-99. It has a vent type cooling, so you need to leave it for a while before the boost bar comes back down. For your weapons, the internal weapon of this thing is your best friend, good damage and explosive, it can clear out a lot of enemies for you.
But if you are not happy with just that, you can find weapons scatter around the map:
P-shooter right where you start
6 tube missile launcher (see the minimap, Press F to toggle the map)
Charge laser on top of the bridge
shotcannon one more 6 tube missile
SMG
Another shotcannon
Another charge laser
Leading them out the gates creating a choke point is a good move. They will come out as a steady stream. So just blow them up with your internal weapon.
Mission 14: Iron fist
Tips and trick: Same as before, just use the cannon to do most of the work. But be sure not to shoot the escaping raiders because they will die to any damage, and this will fail the mission, or rather; mail your fission
Mission 15: Lonely way
Be sure not to drop your third favorite arm, cause if you lost it, you will explode.
There are not many tips here other than not get mauled by the bugs.
Mission 16: Turning point
Tips and tricks: Beam cannon will pull most if not all the weight here, try to completely avoid battle if possible, your ammo will run out before you reach the end if you are aggressive. And will leave you with no health or ammo the fight off the Lockette. And also again, don’t forget you Vulcans.
Mission 17: The big score
Tips and tricks: when you start, you will have to fly to the comms tower, this is a good spot to stand when unlocking the door. When you start to move the cargo i suggest you start from the where you are right now; the comms tower. But there will be a enemy spawn right next to the cargos so I suggest you to bring the cargos off the hill first before you attempt any delivery.
Hover mode could also come in handy here because otherwise you will always overheat your boosters.
As for the recon squad, you can stay away and snipe them down.
Mission 18: Land pirates
Alternatively beam cannon also works,
Tips and tricks: there is a very neat trick if you used the heavy cannon, since the blast radius is so big, when the hanger opens, you can fire a round into the left wall of the left door, and that will save you a trip to enter and destroy the door control.
(got lazy when obtaining a photo for the showcase so I used the DLC secret GB)
Standing on the ship also gives you really good vantage point to snipe out the incoming waves of enemies.
Mission 19: In the sea of stars
Tips and tricks: The hard part is not the combat if you manage to get to this point, Afterall you cannon would one-shot everything. But if you are having trouble with reloading time and/or booster cool down during Logger’s fight, you can play ring around the roses with the containers with him
The hard part is the elevator drop, the just remember, red=bad and you need to keep an eye out for which lane light up red first to avoid the one where all 3 lane would light up red.
As for the last part, I suggest you to fly directly out of the city and avoid combat at all cost.
Misson 20: Decisive battle
Tips and tricks: the hardest part of the mission is the overwhelming number of bugs here. Remember the floor is lava technique and don’t worry about ammo, you’ll quite easily get them back before the GB section. When you start the GB section, don’t let them spread out, get as much of them in the splash zone as possible so you can get to the actual boss fight part quickly. As for general wanker, don’t worry about the timer, take your time, because you will definitely make it.
