Garden Witch Life: Mines Walkthrough

Progress through the mine requires tool upgrades and other quest lines to finish. This guide will contain spoilers, so please read at your own risk.

This walkthrough will focus on the mine only and reference other quests. I’ll not put any spoiler tags on things, so just read as far down as you need.

There are two ways that you can reach the mine. Either by exiting the Garden to the east or through the entrance next to Tin’s Tinkery. However in both cases boulders block the your way. You need to get at least the Silver Pickaxe Upgrade from Tin to get through them.

Once you enter the mine there’s a lot to find, but I will focus on getting through the mine in the most efficient way possible. Though I recommend wandering around, gathering resources and finding chests.
For the purpose of this walkthrough I’m starting from entering the mine through the Garden entrance.

At this point the main goal of the mine is to drain all the water. The first drain can be found to your left. If you swim over you can interact with the debris and it will clear the water way and the water will go down, allowing you to reach more mineable resources.

To progress further you first need to unlock Teleportation. You can do this by upgrading to a Silver Axe and heading into the Fairy Forest to the north of the Garden. Make your way through and activate the glowing platform. Afterwards follow Tin’s quest line until you get the objective “Find an alternate use for the key”.

When you return to the mine through the garden entrance, head towards the next drain to your right. You can now interact with it and the water will drain another level.

You can also now interact with these beacons and they will highlight other points of interest in the mine. You should be able to find the remaining drains this way. (Or continue to read on)

For the next drain head down the wooden path that is now accessible and straight on until you are at the other end of the area. You will need at least the Silver Axe for this next part.

Using the Axe cut through the vine blocking your way and activate the next drain.

Make sure you activated the beacons and head back the way you came until you see a beacon light that comes out of the water. Swim towards it and look around until you find the last drain sticking out of the water. Once you activate it the water will drain to the lowest level.

Head back to the beacon light and interact with the machine and open the chest.

To progress further you need to get a Golden Pickaxe (available from Tin, once you reach 5 Friendship) and craft the Broom. Follow the quest until you recharged the battery on the mountain top.

Then return to the mine from the entrance next to Tin’s Tinkery.

Enter the Mines through the entrance next to Tin’s Tinkery.

Once you enter the mines, locate the spire directly ahead of you.

Using the broom, fly over the chasm.

Place the charged battery in the slot next to the door and wait for it to open.

Use the teleporter to go to a new area!

Congratulations, You have now finished the mines.
