General
A horizontal rule denotes a loading screen between two areas.
Episode 1
- During the first section directly after going down the stairs from the starting room on the left hand side.
Aha! So he dares to steal my sword and leave me with painted directions? He seeks to mock me…
- After fighting the guard that drops down from the bridge. Shortly before learning how to kick.
It looks like a culinary debate over paella has been going on here…
Wait, what? Chorizo!?
I’ve never been one for adhering to recipes, but this is where I draw the line. - After rolling under the gate on the left side.
They are making everything illegal nowadays… How can the citizens suffer this?
- Stuck on the gate before fighting the soldiers in the market area. (Also works from inside the market area)
“Notice to all Traders and Merchants,
Today is a mandatory holiday to celebrate the birth of our beloved new mayor. All shops and markets must close for the day.
Please take heed of this announcement as any violations will be met with swift and severe punishment. We thank you for your cooperation and wish you all a pleasant day off.
Signed,
The Count-Duke’s Office”
- At the start of the docks area. Before reaching the water on the left side on some boxes.
“Gentlemen,
For your bribe to be paid in full, wait by the docks for a dashing young woman in a feathered hat to kick you into the water.
Don’t ask any other questions.
Signed,
El Vigilante” - After jumping using the fishing net in the enclave where a lackey and soldier are waiting to be kicked in the water.
¡Por fin! Finally, a wanted poster that actually does me justice.
- At the start of the villa section. On the gate of the villa. (Can also be read from the inside of the gate.)
“While I am indeed on vacation, my villa is more than well-guarded! I happen to be a close friend of the Count-Duke himself! Trespassers, beggars, and misbehaving brats consider yourself forewarned!
Signed,
Don Salluste”
- After entering the villa. Right after loading in go to the door at the end of the corridor on the right side.
Ah, this appears to be the hideout where the guards keep their wine… I’d love to replace it with dirty dishwater but now’s not the time…
- After entering the villa. After loading in go straight ahead to the large room with sofas. On the left side of the central sofa.
“To our esteemed employer,
In case of emergency during our shift, you can find us at the tavern playing cards and enjoying cerveza.
We’ll be back at our guard post in no time.
Your most loyal guards,
Fulano & Mengano” - In the room with the sofas after loading in. The book on the sofa on the left.
This book’s a classic… It’s about some picaro who got rich, then poor, then rich again.
- On the bedside table of the bedroom you load into.
“Dear Diary, today I had the pleasure of basking in the Count-Duke’s glory!
A true marvel of taxation, and a friend to all nobility who matter.” - On the wall in the area with a well after jumping down from the villa.
“El Vigilante! The fearless fencer! The ultimate risk-taker!
Today he will clash against the formidable Adalia de Volador! Has she finally met her match?
The ultimate sword-fighting spectacle showdown!” - After going around the corner after jumping down from the villa.
¡Ay caramba! He really went overboard with this…
- At the gate with all the guards waiting for the gate key, instead of heading back into the villa go around the boxes. The book at the water basin.
Oh, a new volume of that book with that crazy knight! My friend Miguel has really outdone himself this time. I didn’t know he’d been released from prison.
- After learning the special skill go down the stairs. The portrait of the Count-Duke.
I’m surprised anyone would want a portrait of the Count-Duke in their home…
Episode 2 (1 – 17)
- Directly in front of you when loading in.
If I keep this up, I’ll have more of my stuff here than in my own room! The guards know better than to throw away my belongings…
- Immediately to the right after jumping down through the “conveniently-hidden exit”.
“The heinous crimes of Adalia de Volador!” Let’s see…
“Clandestine fencing, resisting arrest, three accounts of hazardous redecoration…”
Wait a second! He didn’t even bother adding new ones! - At the top of the stairs where a single guard waits. On the left side.
Arrested for… poor life choices, watching the watchmen, general offense… Are these for real?
- Secret
Before (or after) pulling the lever to raise the gate behind the single guard, head down behind the cages. Go through the hole in the wall to discover the “super secret” cell.I recognize this cell. It’s where they keep the high-value targets, like royal twins with state secrets to spill.
But wait, it’s empty!
The Count-Duke must be trading prisoners with other schemers, like the sly Cardinal or the conniving Vizier… - On the far wall where you first encounter a grenadier.
“The cafeteria is experiencing a momentary spoon shortage.
Return all available spoons at once, or face swift and severe punishment.”
- The blackboard on the right side in the room where you fight multiple grenadiers for the first time.
All of these explosive experts are in league with the Count-Duke… They’re trying to… start a fire? Burn something? -Now- I’m worried…
- The covered paintings in the room with all the blackboards. Right next to the exit on the right.
Why would the Count-Duke’s goons bring paintings to the explosion room? Have they no respect for art?
- On the far wall after blowing a hole in the wall with a cannon.
“We the prisoners demand:
A massage, forced labour has tensed up all of our shoulders.
A pet chicken, and a barrel of cerveza for each of us.
Several decks of playing cards and one lute, for Gustavo, who’s always wanted to learn to play it. It’s not like we’re going anywhere anyway.” - Secret
In the room with multiple cages you enter after blowing a hole in the wall with a cannon, jump down on the right side onto a small ledge. Continue through another hole in the wall to discover “a spoonful of freedom”.So -that’s- why the soldiers were complaining about missing spoons! Not really my style, but I can appreciate the ingenuity.
- On the table after using the many cages to get to a higher level.
A memo to the captain of the guards, reporting that they’ve successfully requisitioned some valuable items, including a fancy hat and a pair of boots that make a funny noise when you walk in them. The memo is signed “Fulano & Megano”.
- The poster of the Count-Duke on the right side after walking down the stairs away from the many cages.
“Making fun of the Count-Duke is illegal”. Tsk, he might as well ban mirrors!
- The second cell in the room with the two bouncy nets.
Is this a jail or a chicken coop?
- Next to the fire in the kitchen where you first fight the captain.
“Dear Captain,
I’m pleased to hear you’ve managed to recapture Adalia de Volador.
As a token of appreciation for your success, my Office and I cordially invite you to the upcoming banquet at my palace.
It will no doubt be an occasion to remember.Sincerely,
The Count-Duke”
- The poster of the Count-Duke on the left side when first arriving in the sewers.
Ahah! They managed to make him look less evil here than in person!
- Secret
When first arriving in the sewers head straight ahead. Roll through the gap and stick to the left wall. Go through the hole in the wall behind some boxes and look left after heading up some stairs again to discover the “waterworks station”.Ah, I don’t have time to wait for the next boat… I’ll get there earlier on foot!
- In the room with the many lackeys waiting, head to the far left corner.
“I have been hiding in the sewers for two weeks now. The soldiers are still looking for me… What cruel destiny for a humble artist! I hope they won’t seize my Count-Duke’s portraits. I cannot imagine what his reaction would be.”
- Next to the bombs needed to blow a hole in the floor.
“Ola princesa, I left you a little surprise in the tunnels. I’m sure you’ll find a way to lit them. But remember, if you blow yourself up, I’ll never forgive you.”
Episode 2 (18 – 22)
“Notice to all Citizens,
Be advised that the city officials have decreed a mandatory curfew on the occasion of our beloved Count-Duke’s plan to publicly destroy seditious documents.
This is to prevent any interference with this very official, not-at-all personal, and important matter and for your own safety.
Any violations of this order will be met with swift and severe punishment. We thank you for your cooperation and wish you all a pleasant witnessing of the pyre.
Signed,
The Count-Duke’s Office”
19. After the first plaza head left to get to an area with a captain and some lackeys. On the wall between well and brazier.
Has no one in the Count-Duke’s employ figured out he’s Alejandro?
Or are they too afraid to tell him?
20. Secret
After fighting the captain in the city head into the left alley and take a sharp left turn. Follow the alley to find the “mandatory pacheesi tournament”.
Pacheesi tournaments without me? I end up in prison one more time and this is what I miss out on?!
21. After the first plaza head right and use the bars to swing over the gate to get to an area with a soldier and some lackeys. The books on the floor next to the drawings. Alternatively backtrack from the second joint plaza.
A new book! “The many tales of Robin Hood”. Hm… Reminds me of that vigilante fellow.
22. On the right side in the street immediately before the open gate to exit the area. All paths lead here.
“Free food and beer” for every citizen who submits to him as city governor?
Hm… the fine print reads “Offer only valid for Henchmen and Lackeys.”
