In the new DLC for Dredge, The Iron Rig, there are some exciting achievements to unlock. However, be warned that there will be spoilers ahead! Before reading on, try searching for these achievements on your own first. Here’s a guide on how to get all of them.
To those who own Dredge: The Pale Reach
If you have completed Dredge: The Pale Reach, you’re in luck! The Aurorus Anchor is a huge help in this DLC and you can cut huge amounts of travel time out by dropping the Anchor at the foot of the Rig to get back and forth with ease.
Achievement 1: “Missing Shipment”
To get the first achievement, You need to deliver a missing Ironhaven crate to the Foreman. There is a wreckage containing them just southwest of the rig and is marked by a small golden oil rig stamp.
Achievement 2: “Remedial Apparatus”
In order to get this achievement, Purchase and equip the Siphon Trawler from the engineer from the Tier 2 Factory by proceeding with the story.
Achievement 3: “Enhanced Abilities”
To get this achievement, Purchase the upgraded light, foghorn, and spyglass from the engineer at the Tier 1 Tech Lab.
Achievement 4: “Shadowed Splashes”
To get this achievement, Go to an oil spill and either allow an oil bubble to burst near you or let the those oil nightmares from God of War explode near your boat. Doing this should give you an oil splash, but it will negatively affect your sanity. Collect five of them and it should reward you with the achievement.
Achievement 5: “Dark Custodian”
To get this achievement, Use the Siphon Trawler to collect oil from the oil spills around the map. After enough has been collected, it will convert into one dark canister. Repeat this ten times and you will be rewarded with the achievement. (Unlike Shadowed Splashes, you do not need to have them all in your inventory.)
Achievement 6: “Hull: Industrial”
To get this achievement, you have to meet with the Ironhaven Executive by advancing the story. He will give you permission to construct fleet services that will allow you to upgrade your boat to its maximum level. Purchasing the upgrade will reward you with the achievement and will cost you a few crates and around 2500 dollars.
Achievement 7: “Rig Architect”
To get this achievement, You will have to max out your rig by purchasing all tiers in every building. You can do this quickly by investing in the material trawl net early. This will passively earn materials needed to craft Ironhaven crates. You can also occasionally visit the Ironhaven wreckages to dredge up crates.
Achievement 8: “The Iron Ruin”
To unlock this hidden achievement, you will have to sabotage the rig’s defence system by advancing the story. The Override blueprint can be acquired from the Stellar Bay scientist and will cost you a crate and a dark canister.
Achievement 9: “The Gleaming Goliath”
To get this achievement, You have to enrage and escape the oil amalgamation. In order to do this, You need to head into an oil field with very low sanity. At first, you may notice some oil squids and oil tentacles but eventually the monster will show itself. They are pretty slow so just don’t crash into anything while fleeing. After a brief chase, you should be rewarded with the achievement.
Achievement 10: “Exotic Exemplar”
To get this achievement, you will need to catch an exotic aberration. Luckily, the new update makes it easy with the introduction of aberration and exotic baits. Simply get some exotic bait from the engineer, go to whatever region that has an exotic, toss the bait anywhere, and use the atrophy power-up for a guaranteed aberration. (Just as long as you have already discovered the fish.)
Achievement 11: “Ancient Angler”
To get this achievement, Find and catch all the new species of fish introduced in The Iron Rig update. Keep in mind that there exists multiple oil spills in one region so if you cannot find a fish in one oil spill, check the other three.
