If you too haven’t aCcIdEnTalLy unlocked the “Count em!” achievement, then here are some really nice tips!
Achievement
Count em!
Shoot 150,000 projectiles in a dive.
Unlocking this achievement would allow you to pick up the +50% Piercing artifact for your future dives!
Upgrades
- Trigger training: To increase your fire rate;
- Reload speed: To increase your reload speed.
Improving those two upgrades will allow you to shoot way more bullets!
Map
For your information, to get access to a Biome Mastery, you’ve to achieve a biome on Hazard 3.
The biome itself does not matter, pick up the one you’re most familiar with. Knowing we’re mainly focusing on fire rate and reload speed, you can select the Hazard 1 so that the difficulty isn’t an obstacle to unlock the achievement. But if you’re too powerful yet and make each stage too short, then you can favor Hazard 2 or more.
Class & Weapons
I recommend to take the Scout[deeprockgalactic.wiki.gg] class, with the Recon[deeprockgalactic.wiki.gg] class mod:
This class mod bring +35% Reload speed, and more of all, it gives access to Light weapons!
With the Recon class mod, you’re going to begin the dive with the Zhukov NUK17[deeprockgalactic.wiki.gg], a nice Kinetic weapon which shot all the time and in four directions.
The best weapon to combine is the BRT7 Burst Fire Gun[deeprockgalactic.wiki.gg]. Small warning: you’ve to upgrade your Gunner to Rank 3 to unlock this weapon.
Combining those two weapons together would allow you to get a “Star shooting”, shooting in height directions all the time like below:
For others weapons, you better privilege Kinetic and Light weapons to improve them at the same time with specific bonuses, see next section.
Level up Bonuses & Shop Bonuses
And if you’re luckier and get multiple Kinetic or Light weapons, then it increases way better to pick up general Tighten Springs and Loosen Bolts bonuses since then the bonus is going to apply for multiple weapons:
Also, depending on your strength, it may be a good idea to avoid increasing the power of your weapon, making the stages longer.
Artifacts
Here are the artifacts which could help you:
- Diver’s Manual: +10% Damage, +10% Reload Speed, +5% Critical Chance, +15% Critical Damage;
- Popup Tripod: Increase your fire rate (+2%) and reload speed (+2%) while standing still. Lasts for 3. Stacks up to 15 times;
- Turbo Encabulator: +3% Damage, +3% Reload Speed, -5% Mining Speed for every equipped Overclock;
- Multi Tool: -25% Reload Speed, +5% Reload Speed for every unique [Tag] equipped (depending on your stuff);
- Weapon Box: Equip an additional random level 6 weapon with a random overclock (because more weapons, more shooting!)
Additional tips
You can improve your XP gain upgrade and bonus since more XP you got, more leveling you get, and more improvement your weapons receive; making them more able to shoot faster.
Make the side quest to get additional gold, kill Lootbugs[deeprockgalactic.wiki.gg] and mine Nitra and Gold to make more purchases in the end of each stage.
You can run away and avoid the fight against the boss of each stage to make the wave longer and shot more and more bullets. Still, be careful not to die because enemies get stronger with time.
Once the stage boss defeated, you can stay on the capsule ramp until there are 2 seconds left. This some tiny optimization which lets you shoot again more bullets. Careful not to let the capsule leave without you or you will have to restart everything.
The number of shot bullets is shown off to the right corner of your monitor at the beginning of the stage. Don’t get frustrated after the first few rounds with the small amount displayed; this amount should exponentially increase through the stages. On my side, I have unlocked it with having shot 6,000 bullets on the first round. I still could reach the 150,000 at the end of the dive!
