A painstaking fresh run was done to test the information on extreme conditions despite the massive penalties. The toughest challenge is to survive the early game by pushing all characters almost to their breaking points.

Sheer patience is needed to handle the heavy RNG elements of the game that includes dialogues/conversations, selecting traits after level up, skills check, and etc. Yes, night dialogues at the wrong time can completely end the game! Optimal save-scumming is needed to counter its negative effects while benefiting the most from higher roll.

I enjoy helping others and wanted to preserve the key findings before they are forgotten. There does not seem to be an existing guide for Extreme condition because easier difficulties are tough enough.

The guide is for everyone, but much more friendlier to new players. The writing will be easy to follow and supported by plenty of screenshots for those who are too lazy to read everything! Everyone will be playing on the same level with the most experienced!

She can safely search the Sunken Longship after getting rid of the vulture to roll for 10 rope!
Another Ancient Knowledge can be found from a second Ash Heap! Same choices as the first one except the cooking fish option will be removed during the second time.

If 3 Orichalcum Beads were found, do not give them to Freyja just yet until the Bleak Canopy Bed is found and completed.

The charisma penalty of -10 from the useful Greedy trait will affect her skill checks.

The next tier of enemies spawn today and roll for a Shieldmaiden for every battle!
They drop stone, iron, and even pelts!

Kari can get another Fire Crystal from the Dark Cave! Please refer to Max Event Rewards guide.

Kari needs to get 14 wood when taking apart the Sunken Longship.
Blodeuwedd gets another Fire Crystal can be obtained from Horn Trapped in Ice!
If another Strange Lights is found, exhaust all the other options first before Blodeuwedd dives in to receive the Blessing Trait. She is much further away from maxing her Wisdom trait than Cisse.

Cisse can join Kari together in exploration but only during the afternoon until all important crafting projects are complete. The family should be eating well and cooking can be skipped every other day if Blodeuwedd is needed elsewhere.

Kari can obtain another Ancient Knowledge from the Abandoned Cauldron!
The temporary negative trait only affects concentration.

Tomoe and Shanaw will be on Lumber Camp for both shifts because of tomorrow’s wood tribute.

There is a rare chance for the Stone Forge to be completed in the morning and helpful to reduce Eirik’s fatigue! Cisse will be crafting with Eirik during the afternoon.

Cisse will permanently join Kari now for island exploration!

Tomoe and Shanaw still needs to cut lumber for both shifts.
More wood can also be obtained from Forgotten Barrel!
A reduced wood tribute of 30 wood can be safely given without triggering a courtesy event!
There is a random chance of a free Fire Crystal with A Hole in the Forest evening event!

Another Fire Crystal can be obtained from the Scratched Rocks! Remember to treat her fatigue afterwards.
The Forge III is a 3 hammer difficulty project and will require several rolls to complete in the morning.

All important projects are finished at this point and Eirik can now permanently transfer over to the Forge! Blodeuwedd can finally join together with Kari and Cisse to explore the island together as the final trio!

The vast majority needs to have their hunger levels to be at least 50 to determine the best day for cooking. Otherwise, they can survive on raw meat caught from the traps.

Hot meals should roughly be made every 3-4 days and timed correctly with hunting in the morning to have more meat to cook!

Note: Only Tomoe and Blodeuwedd need to be well-fed before the planned upcoming day.

Kari can focus more on power leveling with failed sheep catches as her traits make fatigue much more manageable!

Kari will be around level 21 today!

Traps need to be left alone for the tribute unless the bait was stolen and needs to be replaced.

Cooking cannot be done tomorrow because of meat tribute. If 4 or more traps have caught an animal, one of them can be used to do cooking today!

Each trap needs to roll for 4-5 meat and recover the trap then save after each one.
The traps should give plenty with the remainder obtained from Tomoe’s hunting. If not, then do events that have meat.

Moira needs to persuade Elof when he arrives to reduce Bjorn’s animosity!
Kari must not eat the mud to avoid the large sickness penalty on top of the negative trait.
The full 20 meat payment is made 5 at a time. Otherwise, Eirik and Blodeuwedd suffer large depression damage at the end.

The work duties will remain the same for the rest of the game until most of the map is explored.

Freyja will create gear to slay the volcano after collecting all of the Orichalcum Beads.
Otherwise, the game will revert back to last save point after slaying Bjorn.

The volcano will consume everyone and will get an achievement but not a true ending.
