“Welcome to my guide on the best builds for The Lich in Dead by Daylight. As a main of this killer, I have spent time experimenting with different perks to create strong and enjoyable strategies. These builds bring out the full potential of The Lich’s abilities and add excitement to playing as this killer. Join me as I share my top picks for Lich builds that I personally use on a regular basis. Let’s make The Lich even more formidable together!”
#1 – Obsession Build
- This build is constantly giving info of survivors whereabouts and makes it very difficult for survivors to keep track of where you are at. It’s chaotic and confusing. Lich’s fly ability is great with Friends Till The End. Fly allows you to quickly close in on survivors. Lich’s ability Dispelling Sphere paired with Unforeseen is brutal. Detect survivors with Dispelling Sphere then sneak up on them to get a free hit with Unforeseen.
Perks
-
Dark Devotion
-
Friends Till The End
-
Furtive Chase
-
Unforeseen
– When the obsession loses a health state by any means this perk activates.Your terror radius transfers to the obsession for 30 seconds and its radius is set to 32 metres.
– When you hook a survivor that is not the obsession the obsession becomes exposed for 20 seconds and their aura is revealed for 10 seconds. When you hook the obsession a random survivor screams and reveals their location and they become the new obsession.
– Each time you hook the obsession for the next 18 seconds you are undetectable and are granted +5% haste. When the obsession is rescued from the hook their rescuer becomes the obsession.
– After damaging a generator your terror radius transfers to that generator and you become undetectable for 30 seconds.
#2 – Hex Build
- Who doesn’t like an awesome mori? Lich’s Dispelling Sphere is very useful for constantly detecting survivors locations. Use Dispelling Sphere to protect your totems. If you do detect someone with Dispelling Sphere, then you just use Fly to get there quickly to stop them.
Perks
-
Hex: Devour Hope
– When a survivor is rescued you from the hook while you are at least 24 metres away this perk gains 1 token up to a max of 5 tokens. 2 tokens grants +5% haste for 10 seconds after 10 seconds of having hooked a survivor. 3 tokens causes all survivors to suffer from the exposed status effect. 5 tokens grants the ability to kill all survivors by your own hand.
-
Make Your Choice
– When a survivor is rescued from the hook their rescuer screams revealing their location and becomes exposed for 60 seconds. Make Your Choice has a cooldown of 60 seconds.
-
Hex: Ruin
– When a generator is not being repaired it will immediately and automatically regress it’s repair progress at 100% of the normal regression speed.
-
Hex: Undying
– Auras of survivors within 4 metres of any dull totem are revealed to you. When another hex totem is cleansed/blessed that hex is then transferred to Hex: Undying, including any accumulated tokens, then Hex: Undying becomes disabled.
#3 – My Favourite Build
- This build is my all time favourite Lich build. Rapid Brutality stacks with Lich’s Fly. Get the M1, then quickly catch up to them with Rapid Brutality and Fly. Call of Brine and Unforeseen are an incredible combo. After kicking a generator both perks are applied to that generator. Call of Brine is a very useful perk. If a survivor hits a good skill check on that gen you are notified. Then with Unforeseen you can catch them off guard and get a free hit. I try to hide line of sight with the environment so the survivor doesn’t see me coming when I’m undetectable with Unforeseen. I constantly get grabs or free hits with this combo. I highly recommend these two perks together.
Perks
-
Rapid Brutality
– You can no longer gain Bloodlust. After hitting a survivor with a basic attack you are granted +5% haste for 10 seconds.
-
Call of Brine
– After breaking a generator this perk activates for 60 seconds. The generator regresses at 200% of the normal regression speed and it’s aura is revealed to you in yellow. Anytime a survivor hits a good skill check on that gen receive a loud noise notification.
-
Pop Goes the Weasel
– After hooking a survivor the next generator you break instantly loses 25% progress. Pop Goes the Weasel is active for 30 seconds after the survivor is hooked.
-
Unforeseen
– After damaging a generator your terror radius transfers to that generator and you become undetectable for 30 seconds.
#4 – Meta Build / Gen Defense
Simple meta build. Not much to say here tbh. This use to be my go to build for Lich when He first got released.
-
Corrupt Intervention
– At the start of the match the 3 generators located farthest away from you are blocked for 120 seconds. Corrupt Intervention deactivates early once the first survivor is put into the dying state.
-
Barbecue & Chilli
– After hooking a survivor, all survivors who are at least 40 metres away from that hook have their aura revealed to you for 5 seconds.
-
Eruption
– Breaking a generator applies Eruption. All affected generators are highlighted in yellow. Next time any survivor is put into the dying state, by any means, all affected generators explode and immediately start regressing. The perk instantly regresses the generator by -10% of it’s maximum possible progression. Causes all survivors who are working on the afflicted generators to scream and reveal their aura to you for 12 seconds. Eruption has a cooldown of 30 seconds.
-
Pop Goes the Weasel
– After hooking a survivor the next generator you break instantly loses 25% progress. Pop Goes the Weasel is active for 30 seconds after the survivor is hooked.
