Hey there! Are you a fan of Dave’s Fun Algebra Class: Remastered? Did you miss out on reading the character descriptions in the game? Well, we’ve got you covered! In this guide, we’ll give you a rundown of the character mechanics in Normal, Cell, and Cheater modes. Just a heads up, there may be some spoilers for Cell mode, so proceed with caution!
Normal, Hard, Wacky, Antics modes
Dave will be calm and won’t chase you until you make a mistake in second paper you do. He also will get angry immidiately, so you better stay on some distance from him, because otherwise you will lose as fast as you finish doing second question.
Dave can hear every door you get through, so he will mostly always know where you are.
Every time you answer wrong Dave will get faster, so you better do your maths right.
(in Normal mode)
If you are in Dave’s field of vision, he will begin to move towards you, gradually accelerating, but he’s still easy to dodge, you just need to be not in front of him, and you will be able to avoid him. You can understand if he is close to you by his wheelchairs engine sound, or his phrases that he will say if he sees you.
(with “Teleportation Madness” wacky setting)
Dave will move like Baldi, he will move every few seconds towards you, now he is way harder to dodge. Now you can understand if he is close by bleeping sound he makes every time he moves
You can use Orange Soda to push Dave away, but it will only make him move to closest wall behind him.
You can use Heavy-Duty Glue Stick to stop Dave from getting trough the red door you used it on.
Fun fact: Dave have an adopted son named Tristan, which is the main hero of Dave’s Fun House game.
Playrobot
Playrobot wanders through the school, trying to find someone to play with.
If you will be close to Playrobot she will start chasing you. If you will be caught by her, you’ll have to play a mini-game.
In mini-game you have to hit buttons that will come from bottom of the screen to the top, but you will be still able to move.
In Hard Mode there will be more buttons, and they will go faster.
If you lose the mini-game, youll have to start from the beggining.
Playrobot can be pushed by Orange Soda.
Playrobot can be stunned by USB with a Virus, after what she’ll go to one of the Faculty Only rooms to repair herself
Playrobot can be stunned by Hammer
Fun Fact: Playrobots voice is made with RoboSoft Four with a pitch of 290, and a speed of 190.
Green Alien Monitor
Green Hall Monitor wanders through the school, checking if no rules being broken.
He will chase and put you on detention if he will see you (there may be mistakes because its really hard to test all the things):
- Running
- Eating
- Entering or exiting Faculty Only rooms
- Breaking Playrobot
Detention time will increase every time you get caught, from 15 seconds to 90 seconds.
If he will see Spike talking to you he will make Spike dissapear for bullying you.
Green Alien Monitor can be summoned with Alien Cellphone.
Green Alien Monitor can be pushed with Orange Soda, but he will be still chasing you after.
Fun fact: In original Dave’s Fun Algebra Class Green Alien Monitor was actually called Alien Hall Monitor, and look just like Principle of the Thing but with green skin.
Spike
Spike will randomly apear in hallways and block the path.
If you’ll try to get through him he will take one of your items.
If you wont have any items, Spilke wont let you move thourgh him.
Spike cannot be moved by anything or anyone, except for Green Alien Monitor.
You can see him being in detension class, but he still will be able to steal your items if you get too close to him.
Fun fact: Originally Spike weren’t in the game, there was another character named Garrett, but Garrett’s original creator didnt let MoldyGH use him, so MoldyGH created completely new character, which was Spike.
Diamond Man
Diamond Man will wander through the school, doing absolutely nothing.
If you will look at Diamond Man too much, he will get angry at you and fastly teleport you to random place in the school.
If you use vending machine, Diamond Man will come to it and restock it, but if you’ll stare at him while he’s doing that, he wont restock it.
You can avoid Diamond Man getting angry at you by using Shiny-Blocking Sunglasses, however it wont save you if you use it after making him angry.
Fun fact: During pride month Diamond Man used to say “OKAY, THERE, YOU THINK IM TOO GAY FOR YOU?” instead of saying “OKAY, THERE, YOU THINK IM TOO SHINY FOR YOU?”
Gotta Sleep
Gotta Sleep will fastly move around the school in totally random directions.
He wont harm you, but if you touch him, he will move you around the school with himself, and make your screen dark.
He can move all characters except for Spike.
If you and Dave will be moved by Gotta Sleep at the same time, Dave will be still able to get you.
If you will contact with Spike while being moved by Gotta Sleep, you wil lose your item, or just will be stopped if you dont have any.
You can avoid Gotta Sleep by using WAKE UP! Alarm Clock.
Fun fact: Gotta Sleep is voiced by jumpman25 (the creator of Garrett, which was mentioned in Spike’s section)
Cheater mode
ANTI CHEAT PROTOCOL
There is from 3 to 5 of those things.
They will wander around the school, trying to find you.
They also will get faster with every paper you get.
They cannot hear anything you do, so you can freely open any doors.
If they’ll see you, they will start chasing you, but will stop after losing your sight.
You can easily avoid them seeing you by using The Majestic Cube of Invinsibility.
You should be aware of them surrounding you, because they easily can do that in corners of the hallways for example.
You can know how close they are with Danger Meter that will appear at bottom right of your screen, and by sound they make.
Cell mode (Spoilers Section)
- Answering all the papers wrong and escaping the school
- Beating Hard Mode
- Beating Cheater Mode
- Beating Wacky Settings mode with all settings on
After you beat all of those, you will be able to play Cell mode.
Cell mode includes 4 characters in total, you will encounter 3 of them in pre boss part:
There may be 2 or more of each character, so be careful.
Crypt
Crypt will fastly wander around the hallways.
If you come into Crypt’s sight, they will fastly chase you, giving you no chance to run away.
Crypt will not enter any classrooms, unless they will see you entering it.
You can see if Crypt is close to you by his red glowing, or their distorted engine sound, which sounds like a motorbike.
Easiest way to avoid Crypt, is to wait in any classroom, until you can’t hear him, after what fastly move to closest classroom.
Crypt will not harm you if you use Majestic Cube of Invisibility, even if you do that in front of him, but as fast as your invisibility stops, they will be able to kill you again.
Crypt will dissapear from the map after you get to second exit.
Crawl
After you collect 3 papers, Crawl will start teleporting to you every time you collect papers.
Crawl will always stay in hallways.
You can freely go past Crawl, they wont harm you.
Crawl will only attack you if they’ll see you running in front of them.
You can see if Crawl is close by their green glow, or their hissing sound.
Creep
Creep will slowly wander around hallways, entering random classrooms.
Creep cant see well, so they’re mostly harmless.
Easiest way to avoid them, is sitting in corner of classroom you are in, that way they wont be able to see you.
Unlike Crypts, Creeps will not see you in hallways, unless you are really close to them.
You can see if Creep is close by their blue glow, or distorted sounds of child’s scream.
Creep will not harm you if you use Majestic Cube of Invisibility, even if you do that in front of him, but as fast as your invisibility stops, they will be able to kill you again.
Creep will dissapear from the map after you get to second exit.
Cell 1st Phase
Cell is at the same time the easiest, and the hardest one.
You will encounter Cell only after collecting all papers and going past all 4 exits.
After you get to last exit, Cell will block it, making you unable to finish the game.
After Cell blocks the last exit, NULL pies will appear in the school.
Cell will not attack you until you hit him with NULL pie, after you attack him he will start unstoppably chasing you.
I really recommend you checking nearest classrooms for NULL pies inside, because after you’ll start chasing sequence, you wont be able to do that, because Cell will get you.
You will have to hit Cell with 11 or 12 NULL pies, but you can miss, so be careful.
Every time you Cell him with a NULL pie, he will stop for a second.
Cell will get faster with every NULL pie you hit him with.
If he will catch you, you will instantly lose, and you will start with 0 papers.
After you hit him for the last time, he will stop, after what 2nd stage will start.
Cell 2nd Phase
2nd Phase is going in caffeteria, doors will be locked, and NULL pies will randomly spawn around the room.
Cell have 3 attacks in 2nd Phase, attacks will change as his HP will decrease:
1st attack: Cell will throw tables and chairs, you can easily dodge it by just going left and right without stopping.
2nd attack: Cell will spawn spikes under you, so it’s easy to dodge by walking as well.
3rd attack: Cell will run around cafeteria, jump and then make a ground pound, you can still hit him while he is in the air, and easiest wat to dodge it, just not being too close to him.
After you will hit him enough times, Cell will be defeated, and the only thing you’ll have to do is collect all 4 exits again.
