Welcome to my Darkwood Achievement guide. I must warn you that most of them are directly or indirectly related to the plot. So if you haven’t completed the game yet, then I strongly recommend doing so, since after the first pass you are guaranteed to be given several achievements, and you can get the rest later. The completed prologue
Kill the pig…
There are two ways to do it:
1. Apply voltage through the wires leading to it.
2. Kill yourself.
Option one – we are looking for a cable to fix those wires. You can get it from Petrek for 80 reputation units. Next, at the pig farm, we go into the house with the generator, find out the relationship with the peasant and turn on the generator. Now manipulations with the lever (it is located at the entrance, to the left of the door) – we tear off the homemade fuse, lower the lever all the way down and press the button.
The second option is to kill all the peasants and, if desired, pigs inside the pigsty, so as not to interfere. In order not to get our hands dirty and waste medicines, we throw the main pig with a couple of Molotov cocktails, if necessary, we finish it off with a firearm (a couple of single charges should be enough).
Before you start killing, you can talk to the Werewolf, he will give you a side task, and after that a reward
On the side of the Werewolf
To complete it, you need to help the Werewolf in his request – to bring him the key. All actions, with the exception of the last one, are similar to achieving “On the Musician’s path”.
We are looking for a village in the “Deep Forest” location (it is always located on the outskirts of the map and a road filled with trees leads to it). Next, we are looking for a chain to descend into the well. You can get it from the headman in the basement if you kill a sow in advance or in the house next door to the Poultry House. He lies in the back room with a stove by a completely charred corpse. We fasten this chain into a closed well and go down. We go through the dungeon to its end. You can just run and restore your health after climbing up, you can clean up and take all the stuff with you. In any case, we go outside into the barricaded house, take the right key and leave. We go to the Werewolf and give him the key.
On the Musician’s side
A dream in a coffin
In the corresponding dream, lie down.
One of the easiest achievements in the game (except for the number of necessary mushrooms and various mutagens needed for the next dose). In one of the last dreams, trees will spread around us, creating a path at the end of which there will be a pre-dug grave. A man will rest next to her, who will offer to lie down next to her (in the grave, yes), relax and listen to the wonderful songs of the trees. Tirelessly
To stay alive in a dream with a grave.
This is probably one of the most difficult achievements. By analogy with “Sleep in the grave” in the corresponding dream, we reach the grave, but refuse a tempting offer from a local vacationer. A couple of tips on self-defense – hitting a shovel takes a certain amount of time and it cannot be hit instantly, even through the mouse wheel. Also, any damage interrupts the character’s attack. The game has a bounce (Ctrl by default). The Devourer also has a rebound, and it also quickly picks up speed in a straight line, so it’s better to hide behind something.

Methods of execution:
Personally, mine is to run around the grave along its long part, go around a conditional corner, save up and deliver a powerful blow, or restore endurance.

Willpower
After fulfilling two requests from the Musician or other manipulations, we arrive in an abandoned carriage to make an appointment with a Doctor. Of course, there is no one inside, but a little later the door slams shut and the gas starts, a dream comes. In the second part, we pass without dying.
In order not to mess up the attempt, you can save the game profiles (see the achievement “Tirelessly (No sleep for the wicked)” or close the game in the process (Alt + F4).
Chapter 2
It opens automatically after the first pass. But there are a lot of ways to get it. Our goal is to open the metal door to the dungeon (originally marked on the map) and go to its end. To do this, we need to return our key at the Dock in the last location “Old Grove” on the outskirts of the map in a place called “Train wreck site”. Initially, it is impossible to get inside, since the door will be locked with a combination lock, but you can get there:
1. By completing the request to the Werewolf (see above achievement “On the side of the Werewolf (Wolf’s path)”).
2. By fulfilling the Musician’s requests (see above achievement “On the Musician’s side (Musician’s path)”).
3. By killing a Bird Woman, a Werewolf, or a Musician (you can kill all of them).
4. Showing the Birdwoman a bloody handkerchief, which can be taken from the Werewolf in the last location of the first chapter.
5. Simply by selecting the combination of the combination lock.
The first option. So, we fulfilled the request of the Werewolf, we are heading to the third location “Old Grove”, we go to the outskirts to his shelter. We talk to him (in the dialogue, you can pick up a hunting rifle), and find out where the “Doctor’s House” is located. As soon as we arrive there, time will be frozen, you can safely explore and collect everything (there is an axe in the first building). There will be a hiding place in the house itself, in the floor, the code is in the room below 8459 There is a note inside the safe, and the code for the carriage door will be written on it.
Option two. After the Musician’s first request, he will ask us for a favor again. We are heading to the location “Old Grove”, not far from our new shelter there will be a place called “Creepy House”. We go inside, go to the end of the house, into the bathroom. The Musician’s mother is in it, we give her the postcard that the latter gave. Then we take the violin in the painting behind the closet and leave. After the Musician receives the violin, it will be possible to go to the Doctor’s carriage.
The third option. I think everything is clear, the difficulty will consist only in killing the Werewolf, since he will pounce at the first blow. Otherwise, everything is simple – come to visit the least pleasant character (you can do it to everyone), kill him and take away the object indicating the location of the Doctor.
It is worth considering, you may not get some achievements in this way.
The fourth option will be available if we helped the Werewolf in his request. After we visit him in the Old Grove location, there is a body in a separate room with a bloody handkerchief on it, if you show it to a Werewolf, he will get angry at it. But if you show it to the Poultry Woman, she will tell you about the Doctor’s latest location.
The fifth option. Yes, to pick up the code. At the same time, you will not take sides with any of the characters.
The leader
After giving the Musician the key, after a few days of moving to a new shelter, you will be faced with the following picture: The werewolf will take some things from the workbench and leave an invitation to meet at the “Sawmill”. You can take firearms with you, although upon arrival the Werewolf will tell you through the speakers to leave all your belongings with the assistant. We put everything out, and then we take the guns and leave them near the door. (works until the update from 12/28/23)
After a number of actions, a “gift” will appear and you can arm yourself. First there will be two dogs, then the Werewolf himself will come out. Before its release, I recommend hiding (as in the screenshot, for example), since it discharges the entire magazine from an assault rifle. Unquenchable hunger
In the second chapter, we are looking for a “Mushroom meadow” (often found near the center of the map). There is a house full of poisonous mushrooms inside. We go inside and in the farthest room an old woman sleeps in a rocking chair. Trapped
In the second chapter, we are looking for a place called “Quarry”, on the outskirts of the map (you can take a task from the Mushroom Old Lady, if she is still alive, it’s over). As we approach, we will see a camp inside which several peasants will be located, aggressively disposed towards the main character. You can sneak past them, then there will be a huge boulder standing on two not very reliable supports. Pardon
To complete it, it is necessary to successfully complete the dream in the underground tunnels under the “Radio Tower”, and go outside.
Since one attempt is given to complete, I recommend saving the game profiles as written above, in achieving “Tirelessly (No sleep for the wicked)” or closing the game via Alt + F4 until the character dies.
After moving on to the second chapter, we need to find a place called the “Radio Tower”. It is always located on the edge of the map, even going beyond it, often located with other places like: “Pits”, “Huge lake”, “House next to the dump”.
First, we will clear the location itself and the main entrance. Before the raid, we stock up on durable weapons and time (you can take your time in a few hours of game time).To enter, go a little further than the iron fence and look at the eye. A passage teeming with banshees and their sleeping cubs will open up in front of us. It is not necessary to beat everyone in a row, we pass as conveniently as possible. It is better to kill the cubs in the building itself, because then there will be a banshee that cannot be bypassed. After cleaning, we remove the box blocking the passage.
And so, when the main character comes to the door at the building, he will say that he seems to remember the code. We introduce it, and inside the room there will be a descent into underground tunnels. We go into the depths, there will be a lever overgrown with mushrooms – we hit it and immediately the dream begins.
In the dream, we will walk through the cave tunnels, see the night from the prologue and meet the owner of the calling voice. We just follow the call, focusing on the shiny stones on the ground. After the end of the dream, the door in the tunnels of the “Radio Tower” leading to the exit will open. Once you get to the surface, there will be an achievement and an epilogue.

To achieve this, it is necessary to burn a talking tree in a flooded village.
Before burning the tree itself, it is necessary to repair the compressor with the help of parts and get an oxygen cylinder. The details can be found in two places: the “Radio Tower” and the “Dump”.
The oxygen tank can be found in the “Old barn”, which is located near the “Elephant House”, we open it with a code 1245 He will be lying in the arms of a drowned boy.
If everything is available, then we take an oxygen-filled balloon and head to the flooded village. On the left, relative to the tree, there will be a basement flooded with water, go inside and dive. We find ourselves in a dream telling about this place. After the end (regardless of the ending of the dream), we find ourselves on the other side of the basement. The roots of the tree will be located here, making their way through the walls. We interact with the fuel container and unscrew the valve. As the gasoline spreads over all the roots, we set it on fire with a torch lying next to it. Now you can leave.
Leaving the basement, look at the place where the red glow is located. There you can find a pistol and a magazine for it.
And the last thing is to survive the night. There will be enough enemies to crush the crowd. I recommend firearms, specifically a pistol. Until the moment when we have to burn everything to hell, it is necessary to perform some actions that will help us escape from the trap of the Joker of the human mind. Similarly to achieving Bliss in the epilogue, you need to get to the city, to your apartment, but:
When you reach the entrance of the house, go into it, open the mailbox and take a postcard. Go down to the basement of the house, in its northern part, in the warehouse, take a jar of jam in one of the shelves and start switching frequencies to the radio. Switch until you can no longer.
Go back to the entrance area, talk to the neighbor on the ground floor and knock on the door opposite him. As soon as it is opened, look inside and go up to your floor. Before reaching the apartment, there is a hole in the wall on the right, look into it, and when you reach it, go a little further until the corridor is filled with mushrooms. Now you can go to your room.
Now hang up your coat and head to the gym. You will see that tree roots are making their way out from under the furniture, after examining them, take a screwdriver in the kitchen and start dismantling the floor all the way to the bedroom.
