Hello, I’m Wyatt. And today i’ll be showing you weapons statistics, including where to find them if you get stuck!
Switchblade
This is the very first weapon you get in Cry of Fear, you start with it.
The switchblade has two main attacks, slashes and stabs.
To switch attacks, right click, slashes do 6 dmg and stabs do 9. While the stab is slower.

Fists/Gun stock
For most weapons you can right-click to punch or pistol whip.
Two handed guns use stamina, but stagger enemies EVERY TIME.
Any one handed gun can hit boards, as well as any item that uses fists as its secondary attack.

Glock 19
The Glock 19 is the second gun in the game. Its first appearance is in the apartments, where you will find a corpse hanging through a ceiling, it will be holding the Glock. Or, if you kill a suicider, it will drop one.
Deals 13 damage.
2.5s reload time, 3.5s empty reload time. Holds 15 rounds.
Press down on the scroll wheel to aim.
Later in the story, you can find another apartment complex, (a completely different one) and you can go down to the last floor to find a tactical flashlight. This can only be attached to the Glock.
Ammo can be found everywhere.
Deals 13 damage.

Nightstick
The nightstick is a melee weapon found after Chapter 2 starts, after you get past the basement part of the apartments, there will be a small set of stairs. This leads to an outside area. There is a police vehicle with a cardboard mat in front of it, on said mat, the nightstick should be sitting there.
The nightstick does 11 damage.
The swing speed is slower than the switchblade. And a slight attack delay.

Remington 870
The shotgun is a powerful weapon, and can be found in the sewers. When you get the lighter for the gasoline, there will be a shotgun sitting by a corpse, grab it.
WARNING, this does trigger an ambush of sewmos when you return to burn the gas.
Deals 40 damage to enemies.
0.5 reload time per shell. Holds 5 rounds.
There is only 3 boxes of shotgun shells in the entire game, and 3 shotguns in the game itself. Use your ammo wisely.
Less useful at longer ranges.
WARNING, this does trigger an ambush of sewmos when you return to burn the gas.
Deals 40 damage to enemies.

M16 Assault Rifle
The M16 is a powerful weapon, like the VP70, more on that later. The M16 can be first found at the first sawrunner encounter, in the previously chained up room. It is really hard to get this, as you need to juke him.
Deals 16 damage per shot, shoots in bursts or in single. Press V to switch firing mode.

The ammo is found abundant, then gets scarce.

Hunting Rifle
This gun is a powerful ranged sniper, this beast is found after the statue puzzle, when you get the key to the gates, it should be set right beside it.
Deals 70 damage per shot
1s reload time for each bullet. Sacrifices one bullet if the gun is not empty. Holds 5 rounds.
When aiming, you can hold the shift button to stop the “shivering” for a while.
Ammo can be found throughout the map, then it gets scarce.

VP70
The VP70 is a burst pistol, and can be found through a small tunnel before entering the college.
Deals 15 damage per shot.
Can only be used in a burst mode, 3 shots at a time.

Sledgehammer
The sledgehammer is the slowest but most powerful melee in CoF. The sledgehammer can be found inside of the train car, and is required to progress further, as you need to break down a brick wall.
Deals 45 damage per swing.
Very slow swing speed and recovery speed.
Stuns enemies EVERY time.

Tree Branch
After the train car crash, Simon will lose all of his items, and his satchel. Tree branches are found everywhere in the forest part of the game.
Deals 10 damage per swing.
Worse damage than the nightstick, but faster.

Ruger P345
You can find the P345 in a bowling alley in the hospital for the mentally ill. If you give it to the doctor, he will use it to fight you. But if you don’t, you keep it.
20 damage per shot.
2.5s reload time, 3s empty reload time. Holds 8 rounds.
Ammo is a bit rare.

Taurus Revolver
The main weapon The Doctor uses. If you refuse to give the doctor the gun, he will use his revolver to fight off against you, once he is dead, he will drop it.

This is an item you cannot pick up. If you get ending 4, (fight carcass and trust the doctor) you will fight off Book Simon.

Can only be found in the Halloween Collaboration. It is a re-skin of the sledgehammer.

A gun that can only be obtained if you join the offical CoF steam group, found in the extras rooms.
Damage unknown, but it is moderate.
3s reload time, 4s empty reload time. Holds 30 rounds and you get 9 spare mags. (270 total)
No magazines are found in the game.

Can only be obtained if you donate 10 US dollars or more to the game devs, and have to join the Cry of Fear Donators steam group.
