Walkthrough (Part 1)
Start off by snapping off the rung to the left of the walkway, then use it on the door to the right. When you go back inside, go down the stairs and through the door to the right. Use the circuit board on the various pieces of junk until Joey is activated. Chat with Joey, then step on the lift.
When Hobbins arrives, quickly go right, open the cabinet and grab the spanner. Go back to the lift room and examine the droid, then go and talk to Hobbins. When he tells you what is wrong with the droid, tell Joey to go and fix it. When the droid activates the lift, quickly jump down the hole. When Joey arrives, ask him to open the door. Search Reich’s corpse and take his belongings.
Go right, then right again into the building next door. This is the factory. Chat with Anita and when Lamb arrives, tell him you’re with security. Now, go right. Put the spanner into the cogs, then take it back out again. Go left, examine the droid and use the spanner with it. Chat to Joey about a new shell, then go right.
Try walking through the top-left door, then ask Joey to check out the storeroom. When he returns, tell him to disable the fuse box. When he again comes back, walk into the storeroom. Pick up the walkway, then get the small lump of putty that was beneath it. Show it to Joey and he will tell you that it is plastic explosive.
Leave the factory and go to the building to the far left of the walkway. This is the steam room. Inside, use the spanner on both buttons on the boiler. Ask Joey to press the button on the right. Simultaneously press the button on the left. When the old man leaves, go to the left of the room and pull the switch. Remove the lightbulb and use the putty (plastic explosive) with the socket. Pull the switch again and two more switches will be revealed. Pull down the one on the right. Leave the steam room and go to the lift near the factory entrance. Use Reich’s card on the slot and enter the lift.
Come out of the lift, go left then go through the top-right doorway. Use Reich’s card on the left slot and enter the room. Move the pillow and pick up the magazine. Leave and go back to the lift you have just been in, but continue past it to the right and enter TravelCo on the next screen. Chat with the man about everything. Hand him the magazine, then pick up the ticket. Leave and go back to Reich’s apartment door.
Wait for Lamb outside and chat with him when he arrives. When he mentions going away, hand him the ticket. Go back to the factory via the lift and chat with Lamb again. After the tour, he leaves you outside the storeroom. Go right, and chat with Anita. When she asks for your ID card, hand her Reich’s. Chat with her about everything.
Leave the factory and use Reich’s card with the LINC terminal. Select 4. Owners of the Amiga version would then have entered the code from the Security Manual in the game box, but chances are you’re playing a version where this won’t be necessary. Select 2, then 1, then 1 again, then 2 again. Exit the terminal and wait for Lamb. Chat with him, and he will authorise you to enter his apartment.
Before going down, locate the cable to the right of the screen and ask Joey to cut it. Go down in the lift and pick up the cable. Go to the apartments and use Reich’s card in the slot on the right. Go into the apartment and use the machine on the right. Pick up the video on the left, then leave.
Go to the far left of the long walkway, where you will find Burke’s Bio Surgery. Go inside and chat with the holographic projection, then ask Joey to persuade the hologram to open the door. Go inside and chat with Burke. Offer Burke your testicles (!) and he’ll give you the Schreibmann Port. Chat to Burke some more about everything.
Leave the surgery and go right until you reach Anchor Insurance (next to TravelCo). Examine the statue, then chat with the man about everything. Be sure to enquire about a special policy and tell him Burke sent you. When the man leaves, quickly ask Joey to use his welder on the anchor. Pick up the anchor when Joey has finished. Leave and make your way to the top level again.
Go into the building opposite the steam room, where you’ll find yourself back in the starting position. Go up the stairs and out of the door. Use your anchor with your cable to make a grapple and hook, then use it on the Security sign on the wall of the facing building. Go through the door to the right and use Reich’s card in the slot next to the interface. Sit in the interface.
Once in LINC-space, pick up the ball. Head out of the right exit. Use the OPEN programme in your inventory with the carpet bag and pick up the two items. Use DECOMPRESS with the compressed data, then DECRYPT with the document. Go through the right exit. Use one of your PASSWORD programmes with the floor, then go right. Put down another password, go left, pick up the password, go up, put down, go right, down, pick up, up, put down, left, pick up, up, right, down, right, down, put down, up, up, then exit the room.
Once through, collect the bust and the book before decrypting your two new documents. Now DISCONNECT. Use Reich’s card with the LINC machine, then select 4. Enter the security number, then select 1. Read all the documents, then select 0. Now select 2, then 2 again. You now have special authorisation, so exit the system. Use Reich’s card in the slot next to the lift, then enter the lift.
You are now in the Security Station. Leave and make your way to the other lift. Use it, then go left to the next lift. Your card will now be able to access this lift, so use it. At the bottom, leave the lift and wait for the fat woman with the flea-bitten dog. Chat with her. Now go left and chat with the club doorman. Find the fat woman (Mrs Piermont) again and ask her to sponsor you.
Go as far right as you can until you get to the screen with the boy and the gardener. Press the button by the door on the right. Once inside, chat with Mrs Piermont. When she makes her telephone call, place the video in the VCR. Whilst the dog is distracted, get the dog biscuits from its bowl. Leave.
Go through the bottom-left exit and examine the wooden double doors. Use Reich’s card on the lock and go through the door, then pick up the secateurs and leave. Go right, then through the top-left exit. Use the dog biscuits on the plank and wait for Fatty Piermont and her dog to turn up. When the dog starts yapping, pull the rope. As the guard gets distracted, sneak into the cathedral.
Go through the top-left exit and open all the lockers. Leave and go back to the top level via the lifts. Enter the factory and go to where you last saw Anita alive. Wear the rad-suit that’s hanging in the middle locker, then go right. Access the control panel and select 2. Exit, then enter the reactor room. Just to the right of the core, you will find Anita’s card on the floor. Pick it up. Leave the room and close the door with the control panel.
Go left and change back into your coat. Leave the factory, then go back to the LINC-space interface via the Security Station’s lift. Use Anita’s card in the interface slot and sit in the chair. Now in LINC-space, go right and use the BLIND programme in your inventory with the eyeball. Quickly go into the upper exit. Go up again, then use the PLAYBACK programme with the well. Go through the upper-right exit. Use the BLIND programme on the eye and pick up the tuning fork. Now disconnect.
Leave the Security buildings. Go to ground level and chat with the gardener outside Fatty Piermont’s house. He’ll tell you that his name is Eduardo. Go left and left again, until you reach St James’ Club. Go inside. Walk up to the jukebox and activate it. When Colston, the club manager, gets up, quickly go back to his table and grab his glass. Examine the metal plate next to the door at the back of the club, then leave.
Walkthrough (Part 2)
Go to Burke’s Bio Surgery via the lift. Go inside and give Burke the glass, then leave and go back to St. James’ Club. Once inside, go to the door near the back of the club and use the metal plate next to it. Go through the door. Use your metal bar with the packing case, then move the wooden lid over to the box. Get on the box and use the metal bar with the grill. Now use the secateurs with the grill and climb through into the narrow passage. Go right, then through the top-right exit. Go right once more, then SAVE YOUR GAME as a precaution.
Do not walk past the hole in the wall until you have located the light socket, which is on the handrail just to the left of the hole. Use the lightbulb with it. Now go right and save the game again. Go right and immediately click on the lower-right exit in the passage to run to your safety. Now look above the vein on the wall, where you will see some plaster. Use the metal bar on the plaster, and then on the newly exposed brickwork. Pick up the brick that falls to the floor. There is a swelling on the vein somewhere, so find it and use the metal bar with it, then use the brick with the metal bar. Grab the metal bar, then go through the right door as soon as it opens.
In the next room, look through the grill. Go through the upper-left exit, then save your game. Access the control unit and select 2 to reduce the temperature. Exit the unit, then immediately climb onto the iris and yank the metal bar hanging from the ceiling. Get off of the iris straight away. Go left, right, then right again. Put Joey’s circuit into the medical robot’s slot. Tell Joey to check out the tank room. When Joey gets back, chat with him about everything.
Tell Joey to open the tap on the nutrient tank, and wait for him to return. When he gets back, go through the upper-left exit. Once in the tank room, go through the upper-right exit and then the next upper-right exit. Use Reich’s card with the terminal and select 2, then 1. Exit, then go left.
After the sequence, get Joey’s board from the robot and take the ID card from Gallagher’s corpse. Go back into the top-right entrance and use Gallagher’s card in the interface slot. Access LINC-space. Go right, then use the BLIND programme on the eye and go up. Now use the DIVINE WRATH programme on the crusader. Disconnect, then use Anita’s card in the interface slot. Re-access LINC-space. Go right, blind the eye and go up, then go right again. Use the OSCILLATOR on the crystal and pick up the helix. Disconnect.
Go left, then go through the bottom-right door. Use Anita’s card with the console. Now pick up the tongs to the right of the glass tank and use them with the glass tank. Use the tongs with the huge tank to freeze the tissue, then go right. Open up the cabinet to the right of the middle android and put Joey’s board inside. Access the console and select 2, 0, and finally 3. Chat with Joey, then retrieve his board from the cabinet. Go right. Ask Joey to place his hand on the lock sensor and simultaneously place your own hand on the other hand panel.
Go right, then right again. Use the cable with the pipe support, then climb down the rungs. Use the tongs with the orifice, then save your game. Right click on the cable to swing into the room. After the scene, quickly tell Joey to sit in the chair. Now sit back and watch the rest of the story unfold. Be vigilant!
