Hey gamers! Are you ready to take your Dialtown: Phone Dating Sim experience to the next level? Look no further as we reveal some awesome Easter eggs found in the Roger DLC by simply naming an emu. Get ready to discover a bunch of cool and silly stuff that will enhance your gameplay. Let’s dive in!
WELCOME to the guide !
Dialtown always had plenty of name easter eggs such as in the starting scene when you can type your name or while naming the raccoon that you can find in the phone booth.
For those easter eggs I recommend visting Waddle’s guide on it C:
Now let’s move to the topic.
How to NAME an emu in the first place?
Instead you need to pick ALL options FROM THE START that lead to GOOD ROUTE which is helping out Peter and Roger by saving company with Roger’s slideshow.
After that you are good to go, as the story progressess further you should come to the moment when Roger introduces Phonegingi to their (only and French) IT specialist, employee Fabron.
After Fabron’s rant about not getting paid for weeks and convincing him to fix Roger’s computer he will ask you to get the annoying and stinky emu out of his office so he can work on fixing the issue.
When Roger is ready to leave Phonegingi can ask if they can NAME the emu.
Finally, the EASTER EGGs !
Now while most names will make Roger react with rather nonchlance and slight confusion while ending the scene, there are options that will trigger some extra dialouge from him !
That was actually one of the first ones I did. It will basically make Fabron (who is already frustrated by the emu) even more triggered, which is pretty funny.
As some of you can remember Harry is a phone guy from DSaF 3 but also has his appreance in Dialtown as a passerby Phonegingi meets in Chapter 1 or 2. When you choose to name the emu after him Roger will start telling you about how Harry was his roomate for a while and how Harry constantly complained about his tangerine boss which is an obvious reference to DSaF 3 where Jack was an owner of the pizzeria while Harry and other Phone Guys worked for him.
Basically Roger will think it was sweet of you to name emu after Peter but then he will quickly sadden after realising it will probably anger the other phone guy.
Just like Harry Jake is a phone guy from DsaF 3 although you cannot meet him in Dialtown. Just like Harry, Jake was one of Rogger’s roomates as he tells Phonegingi how the other was always mad at him for leaving the dirty dishes on the bed, he also mentions his short temper.
You can meet Joe at the start of Roger’s route, older fans can also remember him from DSaF 3. After naming emu after him, Roger will think it’s fitting considering how emus provoke foul language just like Joe.
Like most phone guys from the company in Dialtown, Everret is also an character from DSaF 3. Phonegingi meets him before Fabron’s encouter. After choosing his name Roger will agree with you on this, as he explains emus are hard to understand just like Everret who speaks in ITALIAN.
Roger will think it’s ironic as he explains Walt quit the company because of the emus (can’t blame him tbh). Roger then says that maybe he will come back after he hears they named the emu after him. No surprises here, he also is featured in DsaF 3.
Roger will say it’s sweet that Phonegingi named the emu after him. Such a sweet guy isn’t he ?
Roger will point out that it’s Phonegingi’s (your) name to which Phonegingi replies that the emu is their child. What did you expect from the green feral critur ?
When you name it like that (REPLACE 1 WITH i) Roger will turn uncomfortable asking Phonegingi why would they choose such a vulgar name, to which Phonegingi replies and I quote “It’s fitting! This things SH1TS everywhere !”
All for now
