Welcome to our guide for Riviera: The Promised Land! In this article, we will provide you with all the necessary information on how to obtain every single item in the game. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, this guide will help you collect all the items you need to enhance your gaming experience. So let’s jump right in and discover all the secrets of the game!
Warning
WARNING: I suggest leaving the item collecting after beating the game casually since the most efficient way to fully fill out the item log is by replaying certain areas of a chapter by abusing the auto save (or save-scumming as I call it), which greatly tarnishes the experience.
ALSO HUGE SPOILER WARNING
Tips and useful general information
The remaster adds a feature in the Item Library extra menu, detailing the specific chapter and screen where the item can be first located. Additionally, many items can be found pretty easily by just exploring each chapter as best you can.
I would also like to thank and credit the folks over at the Dept. Heaven Wiki and Lacrima Castle for documenting these years ago, they continue to be incredibly helpful even to this day.
General Tips:
- Always check out the rewards (Both for S and A) before initiating a battle to see if a specific enemy has an item you’re missing. Keep in mind that practice battles only drop their A rank reward and that the last demon defeated will drop their item.
- Bosses have S rank rewards (even the final boss), make sure to get them!!!
- Make sure to visit everyone in Elendia whenever you get the chance, they have goodies that they are willing to share with you, so don’t be a stranger.
- To facilitate the collection of the random chest QTE items, it’s best to beat the game first and unlock the option to choose the item. (or save-scum a lot).
- Keep in mind that the game also has a “use all over-skill” achievement for every character, make sure to unlock and use them at least once! (will still count even if save-scummed)
- The best way to specify a location in a Chapter in the game is by using the X-x, where X is the Chapter it is located, and x is an area of said Chapter. For example, 1-8 means that the item is in Chapter 1, in the 8th area (or square as shown in the map of the Chapter by pressing Start during gameplay, or Enter with mouse and keyboard).
- Many of these can be acquired in Chapter 8, but I will not count this Chapter for the purpose of this guide.
Hidden Areas (X-9)
Every chapter has a hidden X – 9 screen (Elendia also shares this number), and in each secret area you will obtain many hidden goodies, be sure not to miss them!
Chapter 1: After the dragon fight in 1-5, be sure not to miss the jump QTE.
Chapter 2: Go to the final screen of 2-5 and interact with the jeweled chest.
Chapter 3: When everyone tries to investigate the shine in 3-4 be sure to not fail the QTE.
Chapter 4: Reach 4-8 before 120 turns. If done, after the encounter on the second screen, Ein will mention that they can jump onto the statue, don’t fail the QTE.
Chapter 5: Follow the ank guide detailed below in the Chapter 5 section.
Chapter 6: Make sure to jump down on the third screen in 6-3, from there you will be able to go left and enter the hidden area with tons of goodies. Make sure to investigate everything here, so try to preserve “Trigger points”. You will also get a cutscene with Malice.
Chapter 7: Make sure to not get hit by the Bomb Kid’s over-skill in any of the encounters in 7-2. You must also S rank them and get a bomb to blow up a hidden entrance on the second screen of 7-3 (Only if you did not get blown onto the lower floors). Quite the hassle but well worth it since this area contains 50 uses of Rosier.
Battle Items
The locations I will mention will be what I consider to be the easiest way to obtain the item, not necessarily the first time the item is accessible, nor all of the possible ways to obtain them for some of them. I tried my best to order them as they appear in the Extra Menu Item Library, but some of them will be out of order due to the way I made the list.
Diviners
Einherjar: Ein’s starting weapon and is available at all times! Fun fact, after every chapter, Einherjar becomes a different version of itself, this can be seen by pressing LT/RT in the item library.
Lorelei: The one we are looking for is obtained by S ranking Ledah’s boss fight in chapter 6, not the one he has in Chapter 1.
Skadi: S rank Malice’s chapter 7 boss fight. The one in chapter 6 will drop the Hair Ornament instead.
Swords

Elfin Bow: Guaranteed overworld drop after defeating the archer enemies in 4-3. Is also their S rank reward.
Iria’s bow, after leaving someone behind on the panel, keep going forward and save de Undine from the three Bat Wizard enemies in 4-3. After reaching 4-6, on the fork in the second screen visit the bottom one fist to trigger Aria’s scene, a minimum of four turns need to pass in order for her to come back with her sister and give you the bow. WARNING, taking too many turns in this area will cause it to be flooded, here is a guide of the optimal way to traverse the area:
1. Go to the bottom path to trigger Aria’s scene.
2. Go back and go forward
3. Defeat the encounter and go upwards
4. Go forward and defeat the encounter
5. Go downwards and pick up the golden key
6. Go directly to the beginning of the fork once more.
7. Go low ground to receive Iria’s bow
8. Go highground and defeat the encounter (remember the golem code)
9. Enter the golden door to pick up the Holy Grail
10. Return to the fork and it should be semi-flooded, go into “Look Mode” and pick up the bottle, then open the bottle for the music sheet (Sorry Fia).
11. Go forward and repeat steps 2-4 and leave the area instead of going downwards.
Spiral Arch: In the chest right before the accursed in 5-8. In chests in Chapter 6.
Diana’s Bow: In chests in Chapter 7. S rank reward for the Archer enemies in Chapter 7.

Hell Scythe: Obtained by default when Serene joins the party
Ogre Blade: Chappi can forge this item with Scythes and the Ogrenium after Chapter 2, also in chests in Chapter 3.
Burning Sun: In chests in Chapter 4

Salamander Rod: In chests in Chapter 5. S rank reward for Witch enemies in Chapter 4
Phoenix Wand: In chests in Chapter 6. S rank reward for Witch enemies in Chapter 5.
Southern Cross: In chests in Chapter 7. S rank reward for Witch enemies in Chapter 6 and 7.
Pollarms
Gae Bolg: Make sure to not fall through the roof in 2-5. In 2-6, make sure to investigate the statue holding a spear two times.

Crystal Lance: In chest in Chapter 5. S rank reward for the Dragoon enemy in Chapter 5

Flame Whip: In chests in Chapter 4.
Thunder Chain: In chests in Chapter 5. S rank reward for the Plant enemy in Chapter 5.
Viper Whip: In chests in Chapter 6. S rank reward for the Plant enemy in Chapter 6.
Claws
Harpie Talon: Remember Rebbeca’s name after Chapter 2 and she will give them to you. S rank reward for Harpy enemies in Chapter 3.
Blood Fangs: In the barrel right before exiting the Colosseo in 4-5, get your hammers ready! S rank reward for Harpy enemies in Chapter 4.
Wyvernzem: After draining the second layer of water in 5-4, return to the leftmost top screen and open the chest.
Leylet Claws: In chests in Chapter 6. The Dark Progenitor Archangel S, A, and B rank drop.
Books
Book of Laura: Make sure to have the torch item when you reach 2 – 8. Lighting up the second screen will allow you to fight the mage chucking spells at you in the QTE. Once defeated the book will be dropped in the overworld. It is also the spellcaster’s S rank reward.
Wet Book: In 3-1 going to the isolated chest behind the ghost encounter, will cause Ein to sink in the swamp, causing any book to become wet book; does nothing. The same thing can be done with any situation where Ein falls into water, such as the “incident” in 4-2 and trying to wade the huge lake in 5-7.
Book of Nanai: In 3-9, investigate the statue and keep looking at it, after defeating the enemy encounter, it will drop in the overworld. Is also the mage’s S rank drop.
Book of Gelt: In 5-6, you can see the book on top of a grave, picking it up will anger its author though.
Book of Kylier: Give Soala the Light Moss, Magic Icicle, and the Venoma Bud after Chapter 5.
Fangs
Naga Fang: Guaranteed drop from the Wyrm in 1-6.
Canine Fang: Enemy drop from the hound in chapter 2, just don’t get a C rank.
Wolf Fang: Enemy drop from the hound in chapter 5, just don’t get a C rank.
Beast Fang: Enemy drop from hound in Chapter 6, just don’t get a C rank. Also, there are only two encounters with the hound from Chapter 6 and one is missable, keep that in mind and plan accordingly. One is in 6-4 but only accessible if you did not get blown away in 6-3 and if you did not jump onto the chopped trees. The second one is on the main path, but it’s hard to defeat the Hound last due to its positioning.
Silver Dagger: Give Chappi the chipped dagger from Chapter 2.
Manalith dagger: Give Chappi the Aquarium Fragment after Chapter 6.
Dragon Slayers
Dragon killer: In 1-5, hard to miss
Dragon Buster: In 5-7, after draining the third layer of water in the blue altar, you should see it as soon as you exit the shrine.
Dragon Eraser: In 6-2, make sure to jump down into the cut down trees and proceed to 6-3, it’s the first thing you see after arriving.
Dragon Slayer: In the first screen of 7-1, hard to miss.
Cursed Swords
Zantetsu: Right after beating Fool in Chapter 4, go straight forward and interact with the chained sword, don’t go up; the area will become flooded making the item inaccessible. (For the best result, have Fia purify it).
Kiku-Ichimonji: Find and pound every stake in 5-5 and enter the cave at the entrance of 5-5. Pass the Undead Warrior’s vibe check and get the sword (Tip, S rank this fight for 5x Rosiers).
Crossbows
Every single crossbow is only obtainable by getting A or B rank against the Archer enemies.
Iron Bowgun: A or B rank the archer enemy in Chapter 3.
Arbalest: A or B rank the archer enemy in Chapter 4.
Wind Bowgun: A or B rank the archer enemy in Chapter 6.
Tri- Shot: A or B rank the archer enemy in Chapter 7. You can also find this enemy in the hidden area of 7-9, review the guide previously mentioned for more information.
Elemental Orbs (god i hate em)
Although there are a bunch of ways to obtain each type of orb, I’ll just mention the best way to obtain all of them quickly.
Orbs: All of them are available from the magically locked chest in 3-3, I heavily suggest save-scumming the chest to obtain all of them and their overskill.
Crest: All of them are available from the second abandoned house in 5-1, I heavily suggest save-scumming the chest to obtain all of them and their overskill.
Emblems: All of them are available from the open chest 5-5, I heavily suggest save-scumming the chest to obtain all of them and their overskill. There is also another chest containing all of them right before Malice in Chapter 6.
Forbidden Spells
Torn page and Forbidden Spells: after dropping down from the statue in 4-9, you will encounter a huge book where each character will choose a page for you to take with you. This item is tied to three different spells that you can acquire after showing the page to Claude after Chapter 4. I suggest free saving here so you can acquire each of them in quick succession without having to do the entire chapter (or game) again. To reach 4-9, reach 4-8 before 120 turns. If you were fast enough, after the encounter on the second screen, look at the angel statue and Ein will mention that they can jump onto the statue, don’t fail the QTE. The correct choices are as followed:
Ein’s page: Clene Met
Cierra’s page: Ceneca Qui
Fia’s page: Nost Lenne
Unfortunately, Serene’s and Lina’s page don’t give anything useful, so avoid these.
Bats & Beehives
Bats
Mr Bat: Catch the bat in 2-4. You can throw a rock at it to get the bat wings instead.
Bat Jr.: Right after beating Chapter 2, Re-enter the magic circle room and attempt to catch it. No rocks in Elendia (too dangerous) , so no bat wings from this one.
Mr. Bat 3: Throw a rock at the dark window to reveal the bat in 4-5, then catch it. Can be cut down for the Fang Bat Wings item instead.
Beehives
Beehive: Interact with the beehive again once you have run away from them in 3-5.
Killer-Beehive: Pull the leftmost rope in 4-4 and run away, make sure to pick it up when you re-enter the room. Very powerful item for how early you get it, but it will kill you more than your enemies.
Foods & Potions
Foods
Applecot: Will start appearing in the Grove of Repost after Chapter 2, free food! Can be first found from shaking the tree in 2-3 and keeping it (making Lina sad).
Banango: Break one of the barrels in 4-4 with the hammer you got from Chapter 3.
Bread: On the table at Lina and Fia’s place (thank you Coco), will be needed for its variants, so keep them close.
Wet Bread: In 3-1 going to the isolated chest behind the ghost encounter, will cause Ein to sink in a swamp, causing bread to become wet bread, yummy. The same thing can be done with any situation where Ein falls into water, such as the “incident” in 4-2 and trying to wade the huge lake in 5-7.
Moldy/Burnt bread: Enter 5-8 with any type of bread in your inventory and it will turn into moldy bread automatically. Learn and use Cierra’s over-skill with it to get burnt bread.
Eggs/Over-easy: Easily obtained in Chapter 3, is also the reward for the bird enemy. Learn and use Cierra’s over-skill to get Over-easy.
Meat/Steak: S, A, B rank drop from the Ape enemy. Learn and use Cierra’s over-skill to get Steak.
Moldy/Burnt meat: Enter 5-8 with any meat (not dragon meat) in your inventory and it will turn into moldy meat automatically. Learn and use Cierra’s over-skill with it to get burnt meat.
Herbs and Potions
Healing herb: Interact with the bush in 2-1. Can be also obtained in 6-9 alongside the Heilkraut. The Dark Progenitor for the Lindwurm will drop it as its A, and B rank reward.
Potion: Tutorial drop. Use Fia’s over-skill from the healing herb.
Heilkraut: In 6-9, investigate the water. The Dark Progenitor for the Lindwurm will drop it as its S rank reward.
Elixir: Talk to Ledah in each screen of 1-8, he will give you one (BECAUSE HE DOES CARE!!!!!). Use Fia’s over-skill from the Heilkraut.
Enemy Drops
Power Wrist: S, A, and B rank reward for the Barbarian enemies. Can also be found in 1-6.
Mage Ring: A, and B rank reward for the Witch enemies.
Armor: A, and B rank reward for the Warrior enemies.
Cape: A, and B rank reward for the Magicians enemies.
Shield: A, and B rank reward for the Undead Warrior enemies.
Amulet:S, A, and B rank reward for the Demi-Human enemies.

Slumbering Ivy: A, and B rank reward for the Plant enemies. Can also be obtained by pulling the ivy from the ground in 3-7.
Magna Rock (Not as powerful as a fist sized rock): S, A, and B rank reward for the Golem enemies. Can also be obtained by giving Reiche the mushrooms.
Harpy Plume (funny item): A, and B rank reward for the Harpy enemies.
Wyvern Wing: S, A, and B rank reward for the Wyvern enemies.
Wyrm Wing: S rank reward for the Wyrm enemies.
Hourglass: S, A, and B rank reward for the Bat Wizard enemies.
Rosary: S, A, and B rank reward for the Ghost enemies.
Flag (my beloved): A, and B rank reward for the Reptilian enemies.
Bomb: S rank reward for the Bomber Kid enemies.
Dud: A, and B rank reward for the Bomber Kid enemies.
Special Items
Happy Plume: Speak with the injured harpy in 3-3 by proceeding from the screen you were pushed off. Show mercy, pls.
Broom: Help Nana sweep after beating Chapter 5.
Battle Pixies: Save Lolo, Momo, and Lala in Chapter 6 and convince them to fight alongside you.
Holy Water: After obtaining the Holy Grail in Chapter 4, you can go to Undines Spring to fill it up with Holy Water.
Cheer Bell (my beloved): Give Mursya the fish from Chapter 4 after said chapter.
Tarot: In the swamp chest in 3-1. S, A, and B rank reward for the Specter enemies (if they don’t change attributes, if they do, they will drop an orb of the transformed attribute instead). Is also the item inside the special Thief Chest in 5-7
Ribbon: Nono will give it to you after talking to her in Elendia after Chapter 1, what a sweetheart.
Earring: Find Molan up in a tree after Chapter 3, then speak with Mylene.
Black earring: Investigate the golden dot in 2-7.
Fallen Fan: Speak to Soala after getting the black feathers, she will create the fan. (I always found it funny how there isn’t a dialog choice for this one, she just does it.)
Boss weapons (More underwhelming than you think)
Hair Ornament: S rank Malice in Chapter 6.
Black Choker: A, or B rank Malice in any of her encounters. Even though it can be theoretically dropped by her appearance in Chapter 2, the game tries reaaaaally hard to make sure you don’t kill her there.
Ignis Spear: S rank Aghart (Chapter 1)
Excalibur: S rank Isher (Chapter 2)
Tempest Bow: S rank Lindwurm (Chapter 3)
Blue Bomber: S rank Fool (Chapter 4)
Red Viper: S rank Sage (Chapter 4)
Ancardia: S rank the Archangel (Chapter 4)
Night Scythe: S rank Death (Chapter 5)
Tentacle Rod: S rank Hector (Chapter 7)
Longinus: S rank Seth-Rah (Chapter 7). After beating the game, you must start a new playthrough and reach 1-7, the cracks that usually contain a Rosier will now contain Longinus. This will be the case for all future playthroughs.
Fanelia
Fanelia (My patented f/u Hector item)
“Seal the Accursed then dig the path to the spring 5 times.”
“Divine Scriptures”
(After Chapter 5, go to Undine Springs and dig on the soft dirt 5 times, surprisingly enough, this was changed from the PSP version where it said “After defeating Hades…” instead of “Seal the Accursed”)
Event Items
I tried my hardest to put them in the order that you obtained them in. These will be segmented by Chapters.
ROCKS!!!!
Rock(s): Each chapter (except Chapter 7) has an obtainable god killing rock, used to smite unsuspecting demons and bats alike:
Chapter 1: it’s in the rubble in 1-2.
Chapter 2: Search the ground in 2-1.
Chapter 3: Search a mound of rubble in 3-3 (not sure about this one, need to verify again)
Chapter 4: Search the floor in 4-2.
Chapter 5: A falling stalactite event will occur in the areas in between the lake puzzle, one of them will cause a rock to appear.
Chapter 6: Cause the shaky platform to fall in 6-2, its remains will have the rock.
Chapter 7: No rock in Chapter 7 unfortunately, would have one-tapped Hector and Seth-Rah.
Chapter 1
Immortal Rosary: Innate item, no need to search it
Sword Hilt: Fail to pull any of the dragon slaying swords. Just fail the sword pulling QTE 3 times in screen 1-5 to get the item once, you don’t have to do it every time you see one.
Orihalcon: In Chapter one – scene 4, make sure to look at the sunlight in the first screen in order to trigger the event in the second screen. If so, after looking at the sunlight in the second screen, Ledah and Ein will investigate the room and acquire the item.
Angel’s Bell: Go straight in scene 6 and defeat the Wyrm, afterwards going into Look Mode will allow you to attempt to get the item after investigating the noise. Make sure not to miss the QTE, nor leave the room.
Nono: By simply going into “Look Mode” on one of the screens in 1-7, Nono will be there asking for help and to take her with you. Will reward you later with a Ribbon. If you ignore her you are simply a heartless monster and I wish you the worst.
Golden Decoration: Investigate the statue TWICE in the first screen of 1-9, Ein will loot the decoration.
Album: Green chest in 1-9.
Rusted sword: In the second screen of 1-9, take it from the broken warriors statue. (Bonus, investigate the angel statue twice in the same screen to get a little stat boost.)
Divine Scripture (Technically can be obtained after chapter1): It’s in Soala’s library if you have defeated Hades in Chapter 8. Otherwise, you must clear Chapter 8. (Note, I did Chapter 8 with Ledah first and got it as soon as I beat the Chapter, however, I believe that the item is also obtained by trading the bomb with the friendly bomb kid with the sprites. However, when I did this, the rat gave me nothing and I’m not 100% if it’s actually the divine scriptures).
Chapter 2
Chipped Dagger: Investigate the patch of grass Lina mentions in 2-1.
Mosamo Branch: Make sure to get blown away twice by the Wyrm in 2-4, will fall off the tree after the second landing.
Bat wings: Throw a rock at the bat in 2-4 instead of catching it. Give it to Nana for a stat boost.
Torch: Light the Mosamo Branch in 2-6 (make sure not to fall through the roof in 2-5).
Mosamo Ash: Unlit the torch in the water well right before meeting Serene in 2-7, this has no use and is actually detrimental doing so, I suggest save-scumming afterwards just to get the item log.
Water: Investigate the withered purple plants in 2-7, this will allow you to pick up the water from the well to give it to them. (Notice, there is no downside in saving Lina from falling since you can go back and re-scoop more water, so don’t be a jerk).
Moondrop: Obtained by watering the Moon Lily in 2-7. Give it to Meute to help her regain her voice.
Moon Lily: Just investigate the Moon Lily again to pick it up. Can be used alongside the Golden Egg for a Moon Wand.
Four Leaf Clover: Right before meeting Serene, search the patch of grass with Lina. It’s a random chance to get it so I suggest save-scumming.
Ogrenium: Have the torch ready for 2-8. Lighting the room will give you access to the green chest with it.
Mushroom Book: Speak with Claude after Chapter two, he will give it to you cuz he’s rad. NOTICE!!!, this will lock you out from obtaining the Spiral Shell from Reiche later on (for some reason).
Item Manual: Recite the code from 2-9 to Claude, he will give you the book as thanks. The code is Right, Down, B, Up, A. NOTICE!!!, you must have seen the code in the first place to trigger the dialog.
Chapter 3
Mushrooms: There are three in total and are pretty noticeable in 3-1. All three are needed to obtain the Spiral Shell from Reiche. Only the one in the room with the big flower (the powershroom) will give any benefit from eating it. The others can be given to Reiche for magma rocks.
Thunder Onyx: Have Fia investigate the broken rubble in 3-2, Ein is super blind and will find nothing.
Aran Doll: Go to the Seasons Forest (14 y/o me’s purgatory) after meeting Cierra, then go UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN, starting from spring and interact with the chest. You will have it regardless of what you choose, but tossing it will make Cierra sad, and we don’t want that.
Hammer: Save the Hammer Kid in 3-3.
Serene’s Pendant: After meeting Cierra, return to the branch you were pushed off from in 3-3 and interact with the shining object, don’t fail the QTE, it’s embarrassing.
Paradise Plume: Just pick it up before facing the Accursed in 3-8, if Fia and Lina pick it up, it will allow you to obtain another event item, the banango peel (or be a creep).
Golden Egg: Don’t fall through the hole that collapses under the party in 3-4 and go forward to enter 3-9, it’s on the first screen.
White Butterflies: Catch them in 3-9. Release them in the Crystal Caves after beating the chapter to get the Diamond Teardrop later.
Fishing rod: Speak with Kyle after Chapter 3, he will give it to you because he’s a swell guy (instead of worrying about his missing daughter). Needed to obtain the Fish and Upola Statue in Chapter 4.
Pouch: Speak wil Gill right after obtaining the fishing rod. Needed to obtain the Fish item in Chapter 4.
Spiral Shell: Give Reche all the mushrooms obtainable from Chapter 3. Note, if you picked up the mushroom book from Claude, he will not give you the shell, for some reason.
Banango Peel: Fail to be a creep by slipping on it (fail the QTE). Warning, you must first speak to Coco to trigger the event in the first place, and immediately go to Undines Springs, if you go anywhere else, the event will not occur.
Chapter 4
Cricket: Catch it in the second screen of 4-1, will be needed for the fish right after. Alternatively, the Upola Statue can only be obtained by not catching it, save-scumming is recommended.
Fish: Using the Cricket, fish that sucker out of the water in 4-2. Give to Mursya after Chapter 4 for the Cheer Bell (my beloved).
Upola Statue: By NOT getting the cricket, Ein will try to fish anyways. This will never get you the fish but instead has a CHANCE to get the statue, it’s random so save-scumm until you get it. Can be given to Reiche.
Lala Sutra: Pick up the floating book after the area gets submerged in 4-3. This will be needed for the magic mirror.
Golem Manual: Catch the paper that Fool dropped, the code is UP, DOWN, UP, LEFT.
Rusty Key and Cristal Key: Necessary to continue the chapter, impossible to miss.
Rope: After pulling any of the rope from Sage’s “trap”, make sure to pick it up afterwards
Trap memos 1-3: After “experiencing” each of the Sage’s traps, make sure to pick them up and give them a good read, they are amusing and differ on how you interact with them. The traps (as long as they are not ignored) are placed on the main path, you should not have any problems seeing them.
Fanged Bat Wings: Throw a rock at the dark window to reveal the bat in 4-5, then slay the bat with your sword. Can be caught instead to acquire Mr. Bat 3. Give the wings to Nana for a stat boost.
Mint Herb: Investigate the shrub in 4-5; will enable the second bathing scene (and for you to be a creep a second time).
Mithril Ore: In the same screen as the Mint Herb, investigate the floor as well. Using all of your swords, Chappi will forge you the Mithril sword after Chapter 4
Golden Key, Bottle, Music Sheet, Holy Grail: All of these items appear in 4-6, this area is a bit tricky but I will try my best to guide you through it. The empty bottle will be used for a later item down the road.
1. Go to the bottom path to trigger Aria’s scene.
2. Go back and go forward
3. Defeat the encounter and go upwards
4. Go forward and defeat the encounter
5. Go downwards and pick up the golden key
6. Go directly to the beginning of the fork once more.
7. Go low ground to receive Iria’s bow
8. Go highground and defeat the encounter (remember the golem code)
9. Enter the golden door to pick up the Holy Grail
10. Return to the fork and it should be semi-flooded, go into “Look Mode” and pick up the bottle, and open the bottle for the music sheet (Sorry Fia).
11. Go forward and repeat steps 2-4 and leave the area instead of going downwards.
Angel Gem: After defeating the enemy in 4-8, proceed to the next screen, look at the angel statue twice, then go back. If you manage to reach this area before 120 turns, Ein will notice you can jump onto the angel statue. Once on top of it, do NOT check the statue out until you reach its head, you will be dubbed a pervert if you do. After reaching the head, investigate it and ask Serene to pick it up. Give it to your favorite girl for affection points.
Ripped page and Forbidden Spells: after dropping down from the statue in 4-9, you will encounter a huge book where each character will choose a page for you to take with you. This item is tied to three different spells that you can acquire after showing the page to Claude after Chapter 4. I suggest free saving here so you can acquire each of them in quick succession without having to do the entire chapter (or game) again. The correct choices are as followed:
1. Ein’s page: Clene Met
2. Cierra’s page: Ceneca Qui
3. Fia’s page: Nost Lenne
4. Unfortunately, Serenes and Linas’ page don’t give anything useful, so avoid these.
Valdes Scriptures: Investigate the books in the last screen of 4-9 and have Serene pull the page out.
Diamond Teardrop: Return to the crystal caves after leaving the White Butterflies in them, investigate the area they will be surrounding to find the item. This can be used to forge the best pollarm in the game, but it will take Chappi the entirety of Chapter 5 to do so.
Chapter 5
Thief’s Manual: Read the sign in the first screen of 5-1 and have Lina get robbed. Afterwards, go to the second screen and investigate the well. Then go to the third screen and investigate the tree and say that you feel watched. Finally, return to the first screen and investigate the house, Randy (my beloved) will be there. Beat him up and he will return Lina’s backpack and give you the manual.
Light Moss: In 5-2, investigate the second open chest and have Serene throw it into the wall, making it dark. Afterwards return to the first screen of the area and the dark will reveal the light moss. Don’t try to eat it, this ain’t Deltarune. Give to Soala for a book.
Anks (Oh boy, these bad boys): The anks are scattered across areas 3,6, and 5 of Chapter 5 and are basically the entire chapter’s gimmick/puzzle. These are mostly mandatory (not all of them are really needed) and will provide a small stat boost to each character. Alongside each ank is an inscription detailing the elemental hierarchy of the ancient priests who built the Mireno Cemeteries. These are pivotal in answering the water lake puzzle, but I will be detailing how to obtain each item in the lake section of Chapter 5.
The anks are as followed:
X-Xenon’s ank: In the upwards, rightmost grave in 5-5.
L-Lokin’s ank: In the middle grave in 5-5.
A-Askus’s ank: In the bottom, leftmost grave in 5-5.
Y-Yumel’s ank: In the grave inside the upward’s cave in 5-6
I-Iduna’s ank: In the bottom, rightmost grave in 5-6
T-Teula’s ank: In the middle grave in 5-6
Now for the Crystal Sanctuary/flooded lake puzzle (14 y/o me’s purgatory part 2)
As mentioned before, each ank had an inscription that detailed how to solve this puzzle. Unfortunately, you either had to write it down or had the best memory in the world, because backtracking for that is horrible. But, instead, I’ll just give you the best answers:
The red altar: Lokin’s ank: The water will drain slightly, exposing the chest in the first screen of the lake. Will reveal the yellow alter:
The yellow altar: Teula’s ank: Will reveal the sunken chest in the top leftmost screen containing the Wyvernzem.
The blue altar: Askus’s ank: Will reveal the mana wisp on the leftmost bottom screen (meaning someone drowned there, sad). Will reveal the special chest containing a tarot and a special CG on the rightmost bottom screen, but you need the Thief’s Manual to trigger the event. Will allow you to leave the lake area.
The blue altar: Xenon’s ank: Will reveal the black boulder that can be moved to enter the hidden area of the chapter (5-9). Will also reveal the funny 50 QTE skipping stone event in the rightmost top screen (you can do it, I believe in you). The green altar is a trap, demons will ambush you.
Magic Icicle: In 5-9, chop down the magic icicle, the QTE is a bit hard, be careful. Give to Soala for a book.
Key to Hell: Defeat the zombie dragon in 5-9. It’s the only extra menu unlockable needed in the remaster.
Venoma Bud: When entering 5-8, make sure to ask Fia what venoma is. Afterwards, investigate the venoma tip on the second screen after the encounter. You need to have the bottle item from chapter 4 to pick it up. Give to Soala for a book.
Chapter 6
Lolo and Momo: Make sure to go into “Look Mode” on the second screen of 6-1 to trigger a cutscene. Investigate the grass in the third screen and take them with you.
Black Feathers: Pick them up in 6-9.
Aquarium Fragment: Pick it up from the destroyed Aquarium in 6-9.
Kiki: Open the first chest you see in 6-6. If you have a Mithril Sword she will transform it into a Zephyr.
Magic Mirror: Examine the monument in the leftmost top screen of 6-6, you must have the Lala Sutra from chapter 4 to obtain the item.
(Although it’s not an event item, examining the water in 6-6 will give you a jewel that you can give to any of the girls for affection points).
Pipi: Hiding in the shadows right before the Ledah fight in 6-6, will heal you after picking her up.
Lala: In 6-8, investigate your surroundings on the second screen. If you save Lolo and Momo, and convince them to fight, you will get the battle pixies.
Chapter 7 (No event items here!)
Not even a rock, smh
