Introduction
Story related achievements (Unmissable)
Defeated Bamsefar
Story related achievement,after escorting Jostein to his brother’s house, you’ll be tasked with defeating the local bandit leader, Bamsefar.
Bamsefar has several attacks;
– Grabbing minions from his bag and tossing them out.
– One groundslam with his bag, dealing damage when you’re too close.
– Two quick strikes with his satchel. There’s two variations of these which differ in timing.
The best time to attack him is when he is tossing out his minions, get in a few slashes before he returns to his normal attacking pattern.
Saved Spring village from the raid
Story related achievement, after helping out the villagers in Spring Village, you’ll need to clear the village of bandits that have come to raid.
Defeat Ailith
Story related achievement, after getting all the tablets in the mountain and bringing them back, you’ll need to take on Ailith to rescue Ronya.
Ailith has several attacks;
– Flying across the tower, three rapid strikes followed by two swipes with her sword.
– Sending out flying swords that fan out.
– Calling in two Mustox to fight for her.
– A flurry of fast stabs to the left or right.
It’s recommended to play defensively, saving stamina exclusively for dodging outside of the moments where it’s safe to attack. The most common attack is the one where she flies across the tower and follows that up with two strikes. Dodge them but make sure that with the final dodge you position yourself below her. This ensures she won’t be able to use her fourth attack on you, and if she does, it’ll be easier to dodge.
Defeat Gulo Gulo
Story related achievement, after getting the key to the castle and entering, you’ll be faced with the final boss of the game, Gulo Gulo.
Gulo Gulo has several attacks;
– One slam with his weapon, either to his left or right.
– Jump into the air, followed by a dash and slam in the direction of the player.
– Slamming the ground to rain boulders from the ceiling.
– One slam with his weapon, sending a shockwave to your location.
Just like Ailith, it’s recommended to play defensively, saving stamina exclusively for dodging outside of the moments where it’s safe to attack. The most common attack is the one where he jumps into the air and slams in the player’s direction. After this attack, he’ll be vulnerable for a moment, take advantage of this. Always keep at least a part of your stamina bar for a dodge, it’s better to do slow but consistent damage than dying.
Complete the game. Good job
Story related achievement, unlocked after defeating the final boss, Gulo Gulo. This achievement cannot be missed.
Miscellaneous achievements (Missable)
Roll 250 times
This achievement is rather self explanatory, rolling is vital in combat. While you could miss this achievement, it’s highly unlikely if you play the game as intended.
Eat 25 Quick Lunches
Also rather self explanatory, Quick Lunches are used to heal during or after combat. While you could miss this achievement, it’s highly unlikely if you play the game as intended. The quickest way to unlock it is by using a campfire over and over, restocking and using your Quick Lunches, until it unlocks.
Who is this guy?
Highly missable achievement, after reaching Spring Village, travel East to the old ruins. After clearing the enemies at the old ruins, go to the north-west corner of the area, go through the bushes and enter the clearing. On the other side of the river there’ll be a statue, unlocking this achievement.
Visit all the campsites
This achievement is unlocked by lighting all the campfires that are available in the game. At a later date, a list will follow detailing the exact locations of said campfires.
Complete the game without dying
As the description says, to unlock this achievement you’ll need to beat the game without dying. The easiest way to do this is on the easiest difficulty. Regular enemies do not pose that big of a threat on this difficulty mode, for the bosses, you can always keep this guide in mind. Those tips were written with the Wild difficulty in mind.
Beat the game on Wild difficulty
By far the hardest achievement on this list, beating the game on the hardest difficulty. It is recommended to play on this difficulty after beating the game once already. That way you’ll have a better understanding of the game’s mechanics and the way the bosses work. Use the tips given under the Story related achievements to get an edge when it comes to the bosses.
