Welcome to our 100% Achievement Guide for Touhou Genso Wanderer -FORESIGHT-. This guide will provide you with all the necessary information to successfully complete the game and obtain all achievements. Let’s dive in and start our journey to 100% completion!
Intro
Will add in even more Image references and Videos for boss battles and other relevant information in the future but the guides here are sufficient should you require assistance for the achievements!
Understand that there are so many ways to play this game. This is just the route I figured or take when going for the 100%! Feel free to innovate on your end. As the guide is focused on the 100% Achievement completion, some of the content are not cleared and may not be unlocked such as full links, items, dungeons, etc. which you may utilize to make your achievement progression smoother.
Achievements List (Part 1)
After the prologue, the very first dungeon you will enter will be the tutorial dungeon where you officially learn the game mechanics. When you enter the dungeon “Welcome to the Sangetsusei House”, you will receive the first achievement of the game.
Temperamental Guiding Witch
In the tutorial dungeon, once you arrive in Floor 5, Marisa will offer to join your party as your partner. This will secure you the achievement.
Upgrades Unlocked: Izanagi Link
After defeating the 3 Fairies of Light, Luna Child, Star Sapphire and Sunny Milk, there will be a couple of dialogues among Reimu, Marisa and Misumaru.
After having a conversation and obtaining the first half of the yin-yang orb, you will unlock the Izanagi Link system which allows you to utilize Link Points from defeating enemies throughout the game, to power up your characters. Majority of the upgrades should power up your partners too. You should obtain the achievement as well.
Where the Humans Live
Upon clearing the 9 Floor Dungeon “Road to the Human Village”, you will arrive in the Human Village where after some chatter between Reimu and Marisa, you will unlock the usage of the Regional Map, which allows you to fast travel between places you have been. The achievement will be yours too.
Drunken Freeloader Work Underway!
After you have unlocked the Regional Map, you can teleport back to Hakurei Shrine. At this point, you should have barely enough yen, the cash currency in this game, to renovate your Shrine. Simply speak to Suika, and choose any upgrade from the building list.
It doesn’t matter which and Level 1 of the upgrade is enough. After choosing and exiting the building menu, a short scene will play depicting your upgrade completion and you will receive the achievement.
Upgrades Unlocked: Izanagi Merge
After defeating Remilia Scarlet and stopping the red mist incident, there will be a couple of dialogues and eventually you will receive the ability to unlock the second-half portion of the power from the yin-yang orb which allows you to utilize the Izanagi Merge function.
You will be able to use the Merge Points you receive by clearing dungeons, and merge items together to further enhance the upgrade levels or to combine the seals, which exist in certain items in all item categories excluding gaps and other miscellaneous. Most importantly, you will receive the achievement.
Eternal Scarlet New Moon
First of all, it will be best to equip a Silver Knife and a Bat shield on both Reimu and Marisa as Remilia is of the vampire race. This will make the battle a breeze, as the anti-race stats boost your offensive and defensive powers way too much than when you do not have them.
Get ready some healing medicine, spell cards (Revival card, All-Purpose Spell Card and Spirit Fantasy Seal Card (the latter two do room-wide AOE damage with spirit fantasy dealing moderately higher damage)), and you should be good to begin the battle.
In Phase 1 (Above 50% HP), Remilia will engage on the following actions:
1. Cast a ranged spell attack.
2. Do an AOE line charge attack, Night Lord “Dracula Cradle” in a selected direction towards you and end up in the far end of the direction she charged in.
3. Summons Bats.
4. Do a life-stealing attack “Vampire”, which absorbs the amount of Health Points equivalent to how much damage she dealt.
In Phase 2 (Below 50% HP), Remilia will engage on the following actions:
1. Immediately cast “Showing One’s Real Ability”, which buffs her attack, defense and prevent negative status effects.
2. Cast her ultimate skill (Which also triggers Remilia’s character to appear) Divine Spear “Spear the Gungnir”, which deals heavy AOE room wide damage to both Reimu and Marisa.
3. Summon Bats (This time she will not hesitate to summon multiple waves of them).
4. Cast a room wide attack Hell Sign “Mountain of a Thousand Needles”, which deals moderate AOE damage to both Reimu and Marisa
Tips on the battle:
You can use your Danmaku attacks and deal some damage even at far range since you likely can’t reach Remila after she does her charge attack.
Feel free to utilize the All-Purpose Spell card to soften the bats so that Reimu or Marisa can deal a one-hit blow to the bats after. This also allows you the space to use your Danmaku attacks since no bats will be blocking the line attack. In addition, it deals damage to Remila as well.
If you are overwhelmed with the Bats, use the Slumber Paresso Particle spell cards to make the bats fall asleep for a couple of turns. This will give you some breathing room and you can focus on the boss. This is extremely helpful during Phase 2 of the battle.
Do not be afraid to use your consumables. Use what you have in your arsenal as even if you do lose the battle, your items will be returned to you before the battle. Items in the game are only lost when you move on to the next map, which means beating Remilia in this case.
Do not bother walking to Remila, as you will waste a whole lot of turns and likely by the time you barely make it to her, she will use her charge attack again, rendering your efforts wasted, plus she can summon more bats to hinder your path. Rely on your Danmaku attacks or Marisa’s ultimate skill “Master Spark” to do the long range damage throughout the fight.
Ensure your health points are above 60 to be safe when nearing and during Phase 2 of the battle as Remila does use her ultimate skills a couple of times in this battle.
You need to focus on your well-being more than your partner. If you falter, the battle is lost. However, you can revive your partner any amount of time as you as Reimu survives. And your revived partner will have a couple of turns of invulnerability to tank incoming hits if needed.
Upon defeating Remilia, you will receive this achievement.
Welcome to Kourindo
You will start encountering rooms in dungeons where there may be one or more shopkeepers with Rinnosuke and Sumireko surrounding the entrances of these rooms. They are pretty uncommon, but not that rare throughout the game. The very first possible dungeon that you may come across the dungeon shop will be the dungeon “Making for the Crimson Manor”, although the room will likely spawn only from the Grand Library (Floor 18) onward.
Such rooms usually have several items from all category of items ranging from equipment to spell cards and more. Walk over and pick up one of the item, this will trigger the shopkeepers to block the exit(s).
Simply talk to the shopkeeper and pay for the purchase. Upon successful purchase, the achievement will be yours for the taking.
Perfect Head Maid Elegance
Head back to the Human Village (After unlocking Izanagi Merge) for some Main Story dialogues and you will unlock sub events in the game as well as receiving a pair of additional helping hands from Sakuya, who offers to join your party. You will receive the achievement too.
Non-Wandering Spirit
Do equip a Ghost’s Short Sword and a Ghost Butterfly on both Reimu and Sakuya. Note that Yuyuko is a Spirit race. This will ensure you have a more pleasant time during the boss battle, as the anti-race stats boost your offensive and defensive powers way too much than when you do not have them.
In Phase 1 (Above 50% HP), Yuyuko will engage on the following actions:
1. Cast Resurrection Butterfly -10% Flowering- right at the start of the battle, and sakura petals will float around in the battlefield.
2. Cast Losing Hometown “Lost Soul’s Village”
3. Summons Servant and Gardener Ghosts
4. Shoots a long range beam, Unborn Light which deals a high damage single line on the target
5. Does normal melee attack
6. Cast Resurrection Butterfly -30% Flowering- when at 70% health
7. Cast her ultimate skill (Which also triggers Yuyuko’s character to appear) Nether Sign “Passage to the Underworld”, which causes
Achievements List (Part 2)
Do equip a Ghost’s Short Sword and a Ghost Butterfly on both Reimu and Sakuya. Note that Yuyuko is a Spirit race. This will ensure you have a more pleasant time during the boss battle, as the anti-race stats boost your offensive and defensive powers way too much than when you do not have them.
In Phase 1 (Above 70% HP), Yuyuko will engage on the following actions:
1. Cast Resurrection Butterfly -10% Flowering- right at the start of the battle, and sakura petals will float around in the battlefield.
2. Cast Losing Hometown “Lost Soul’s Village”, which summons Server and Gardener Ghosts.
3. Shoots a long range beam, Unborn Light which deals moderate damage single line damage on the target.
4. Does normal melee attack.
In Phase 2 (Below 70% HP), Yuyuko will engage on the following actions:
1. Cast Resurrection Butterfly -30% Flowering- when at 70% health.
2. Cast her ultimate skill (Which also triggers Yuyuko’s character to appear) Nether Sign “Passage to the Underworld”, which causes the death curse, a skull icon with the number 10 appearing at the top of Reimu and Sakuya’s head.
3. Cast Losing Hometown “Lost Soul’s Village”, which summons Server and Gardener Ghosts.
In Phase 3 (Below 50% HP), Yuyuko will engage on the following actions:
1. Cast Resurrection Butterfly -50% Flowering- when at 50% health.
2. After casting the above skill, Yuyuko will also push back both your characters for a couple of squares.
3. Shoots a long range beam, Unborn Light which deals a high damage single line on the target. It is still the same damage range as when Yuyuko does the beam in Phase 1.
4. Does normal melee attack.
5. Cast Losing Hometown “Lost Soul’s Village”, which summons Server and Gardener Ghosts. (Yuyuko will literally summon multiple waves of them to overwhelm you)
6. Cast a room-wide AOE damage to both Reimu and Sakuya, dealing moderate damage.
In Phase 4 (Below 20% HP), Yuyuko will engage on the following actions:
1. Cast Resurrection Butterfly -80% Flowering- when at 20% health.
2. After casting the above skill, Yuyuko will also push back both your characters literally to the end of the map for the direction she is facing against.
3. Cast her ultimate skill (Which also triggers Yuyuko’s character to appear) Nether Sign “Passage to the Underworld”, which causes the death curse, a skull icon with the number 5 appearing at the top of Reimu and Sakuya’s head. The number is cut to half compared to the first time Yuyuko uses it.
4. Cast a room wide AOE damage skill, Sakura Sign “Saigyo Sakura Storm”, dealing moderate damage to both Reimu and Sakuya.
5. Does normal melee attack.
Tips on the battle:
You can use your Danmaku attacks and deal some damage even at far range since you likely can’t reach Yuyuko after she start pushing you backwards from Phase 3 onward. This is the time where you have to figure which of the 4 Danmaku works best in specific scenarios. For this battle, it will be best to use Instant Sacred Field Talisman to deal damage and weaken both Yuyuko and her summoned minions. Although this Danmakua attack will consume a whole lot of Danmaku points.
Feel free to utilize the All-Purpose Spell or Spirit Fantasy Seal cards to soften the spirit minions so that Reimu or Sakuya can have a better time with the adds. This also allows you the space to use your Danmaku attacks since no spirits will be blocking the line attack. In addition, it deals damage to Yuyuko as well.
Note that the Server and Gardener Ghosts have their own specific skill sets, mainly feeding Fake Riceballs to the enemies or to cast a debuff Spray. Both of which can cause debuffs, and slow down, or weaken your characters, but there is a slight chance that the Server Ghost’s Riceball will trigger the 1 health point remaining debuff. If any of your character gets hit with that, she is likely down to the count with the next melee hit.
Therefore, you would want Sakuya to be on the frontlines so that if she falter, you can utilize your Revival Card to resurrect her. By now you should know that as long as Reimu lives, there is still hope. So do not hesitate to use your partner as the meat shield of death fodder should the situation arises.
If you are overwhelmed with the Ghosts, use the Slumber Paresso Particle spell cards to make the ghosts fall asleep for a couple of turns. This will give you some breathing room and you can focus on the boss. This is extremely helpful during Phase 3 of the battle where Yuyuko literally spams the summons at you.
This rule should apply to you throughout your gameplay by now. Do not be afraid to use your consumables. Use what you have in your arsenal as even if you do lose the battle, your items will be returned to you before the battle. Items in the game are only lost when you move on to the next map, which means beating Yuyuko in this case. For this battle, you may need quite a number of healing medicine as well as P-Can or E-Can to restore your Danmaku Points for Reimu.
You can try walking to Yuyuko, but you will likely waste a whole lot of turns and likely by the time you barely make it to her, you will have ended up using quite a number of healing medicine or spell cards. To improve efficiency, rely on your Danmaku attacks, especially Reimu’s Instant Sacred Field Talisman or Sakuya’s ultimate skill “Sakuya’s World” to do the AOE roomwide damage throughout the fight. At this point, Reimu is still relatively weak and your partner is still stronger than you. As such, focus on using your Danmaku arts than your melee attacks.
Ensure your health points are above 80 to be safe when nearing and during Phase 3 of the battle as Yuyuko has a couple of AOE room wide skills she uses frequently in this battle. In Phase 4, she will use her AOE skills a whole lot, even more than summoning her minions in Phase 3, so use your healing consumables wisely as your medicine should be rather low at this point of the fight.
You need to focus on your well-being more than your partner. If you falter, the battle is lost. However, you can revive your partner any amount of time as you as Reimu survives. And your revived partner will have a couple of turns of invulnerability to tank incoming hits if needed.
The most important mechanic for this fight is to ensure you have some Exorcism “Colonel Salvage” spell cards on hand. Yuyuko will cast her death curse ultimate skill in Phase 2 and 4. Try to time your usage of the cards right and use them at the final turn where the skull reads 1. This may potentially reduce the amount of the cards you will need the entire fight and lets you focus on the usual offensive directions at Yuyuko and her minions during that time. She will not cast another death curse while your characters are already afflicted with it. And using one card removes the curse from both Reimu and Sakuya, like most consumables, so you will not need to use 2 turns to remove the curse.
Upon defeating Yuyuko, you will receive this achievement.
This Blade Can Slay Anything!
After solving the spring theft incident, when you try to visit the Human Village to trigger the next part of the Main Story, you will come across Keine Kamishirasawa and after a short dialogue, Youmu Konpaku will come to your aid and join your party as the third potential partner in the game.
As the battle between Reimu and Youmu versus Keine begins, the achievement should have popped up for you.
Synchronizing Wavelengths
After defeating Kaguya and resolving the endless night incident, Kaguya will task Reisen to assist Reimu with her future trials.
After awhile, another potential incident has occurred, namely a dark purple shrine appearing at the back of the Hakurei Shrine, emitting a foul aura.
There is a long dialogue between the characters on the occurrence with Marisa warning Reimu not to step to that temple. After returning back to Hakurei Shrine, you should get this achievement.
Achievements List (Part 3)
For the equipment to go for this time around, go with Fire of Hourai and Moonlight Diffuser on both Reimu and Youmu. Kaguya Houraisan is a Lunar race. This will ensure you have both stronger offensive and defensive capabilities against her during the boss battle, as the anti-race stats boost your offensive and defensive powers way too much than when you do not have them.
There is only a single phase for this boss battle. Kaguya will engage on the following actions:
1. Cast Impossible Request “Bullet Branch of Hourai”. This will emit a purple aura around the battlefield but does nothing in the first turn. But from Turn 2 onward, she will start doing a room wide moderate AOE damage to Reimu and Youmu if she chose to use this attack again.
2. Does normal melee attack.
3. Cast Impossible Request “Buddha’s Stone Bowl”. Likewise with her spells, it does nothing the first time Kaguya uses it. But once she uses it the second time onward, this skill will boost her defense and provide immunity to negative status effects. as well as enhancing her Danmaku attacks, which is consist of either the Bullet Branch of Hourai skill or the Robe of the Fire Rat skill.
4. Cast Impossible Request “Robe of the Fire Rat”, which does nothing the first time Kaguya utilizes this skill. On the next turn, this skill will deal moderate room-wide AOE damage. In addition, the skill burns all your Talismans, destroying them completely. It also burns the Food items you have turning them from Normal Rice Balls > Grilled Rice Ball > Charred Rice Ball and Eclairs > Incinerated Food, making them useless in terms of prevention of healing health. It will however allow your Bamboo Shoot or Mushroom (Only Adult version and not Baby version of the items) to turn into healing food.
Tips on the battle:
Although you can easily walk over to reach Kaguya in this battle, you probably would like to use your partner to tank the melee hits whenever possible. So stick to Reimu’s Danmaku attack roots should you choose to attack with Reimu.
There are no minions summoned in the entirety of the battle. Kaguya is alone but she packs a punch, namely consistent AOE damage to the entire room.
As always, put Youmu to be on the frontlines so that if she falter, you can utilize your Revival Card to resurrect her. Golden rule of Reimu lives, the game goes on still applies. So do not hesitate to use your partner as the meat shield of death fodder should the situation arises.
Kindly note the buffs from Impossible Request “Buddha’s Stone Bowl” do not actually stack. So if Kaguya uses it, it simply does nothing, which gives you further breathing room to heal up or damage her.
As always, use your consumables. This is especially true for this battle as Kaguya will burn your talismans and food to crisp once she reaches around 60% health. Use what you have in your arsenal as even if you do lose the battle, your items will be returned to you before the battle. Items in the game are only lost when you move on to the next map, which means beating Kaguya in this case. For this battle, you will need quite a number of healing medicine as Kaguya’s AOE damage is a pain. Bring in more medicine and not food items in this battle.
Ensure your health points are above 100 to be safe throughout the battle. Kaguya loves casting her AOE skills, coupled with the buffs she gained in the earlier portion of the battle, it will boost her Danmuku skills even further. In fact, try to bring more healing consumables and start using buff consumables such as Swift Medicine and Super Strength Medicine, which boosts your team’s speed and damage respectively. Although the boosts only lasts for a few turns, the Speed especially can be a lifesaver as you literally have 2 turns before Kaguya can make a move.
Feel free to use the offensive spell cards such as All-Purpose and Spirit Fantasy Seals as at this point, your LP abilities unlocked via link, will increase the damage output by a bit. This also applies to healing items you use throughout the battle.
Upon defeating Kaguya, you will receive this achievement.
Achievements List (Part 4)
Alright, for the equipment setup, go with Laevateinn and Secret God’s Back Door on both Reimu and your partner. Kairei Shrine Maiden is of God race. This will ensure you have both stronger offensive and defensive capabilities against her during the boss battle, as the anti-race stats boost your offensive and defensive powers way too much than when you do not have them.
In Phase 1 (First bar of 100% Health), Kairei will engage on the following actions:
1. Does normal attack (Her melee attack range is literally up to 3 squares away from her, so consider this as a ranged attack).
2. Cast Distant Strike, usually hitting an enemy that is outside of her *melee* range. It is a low damage skill that is targeted only on Reimu. This ability has a chance to land Shadow Bind negative status effect on your characters, making them rooted to the square they are on. If Kairei cast Clear Sweep, you will just take damage but won’t be blown back.
3. Cast Clear Sweep, a room-wide AOE damage that does moderate damage and may send both Reimu and her partner back about 3-4 squares. There is a chance the skill does not knockback at all, or can knockback either Reimu or her partner.
4. Cast Summon Spirit Ball, which summons an orb nearby. The Spirit Ball does one long-range hit
called Spirit Strike, to the nearby enemy with no distance constraints.
5. Cast All-Range Buster, which targets only Reimu without any distance constraints, and hits Reimu multiple times, overall doing low damage however.
In Phase 2 (Second bar of 100% Health), Kairei will engage on the following actions:
1. Cast Summon Major Spirit Ball, summoning 2 Spirit Balls nearby. The Spirit Balls this time around with each long-range hit will do a barrage of attacks, meaning each Spirit Strike will do about 3 to 4 attacks. If all the hits land, the damage is considered moderate.
2. Does normal attack (Her melee attack range is literally up to 3 squares away from her, so consider this as a ranged attack).
3. Cast Yin-Yang Shot, targeting either Reimu or her partner with a high damage orb blast.
4. Cast Sealing Needle, dealing low damage to the targeted enemy, and causing several negative debuffs and effects such as Envenom (A stronger version of posion), Slow (Reduces your speed), Enfeebled (Make you lose Hunger very quickly with every action you take), Softened (Lower your defense). This is a single target skill so if Reimu or her partner did not get hit, it will not affect the other non-targeted ally.
5. Teleports far away from the enemies to distance herself away from Reimu and her partner.
6. Cast Quadruple Barrier on Kairei herself, significantly boosting her defense (This lasts about 5 player turns, meaning Kairei will have about 2x more of that)
7. Cast Youkai Buster on all enemies on the battlefield, causing high damage to the entire party.
In Phase 3 (Second bar of Health when below 50% Health and Casting the Quadruple Barrier and Youkai Buster), Kairei will engage on the following actions:
1. Cast Summon Major Spirit Ball, summoning 2 Spirit Balls nearby. Similar to Phase 2, the Spirit Strike will hit multiple times/ In addition, the Spirit Balls will stack with the ones that are still alive. If many Spirit Balls are attacking the same time, it will end up as a high damage skill overall. This time around, Kairei may cast this skill multiple times, making such that the orbs will overwhelm you eventually. Kairei will not cast this skill on Phase 4 but any surviving orbs will transition over to that phase.
2. Cast Sealing Needle, dealing low damage to the targeted enemy, and causing several negative debuffs and effects to Reimu or her partner.
3. Cast Youkai Buster on all enemies on the battlefield, causing high damage to the entire party.
4. Teleports far away from the enemies to distance herself away from Reimu and her partner.
5. Cast Yin-Yang Shot, targeting either Reimu or her partner with a high damage orb blast.
In Phase 4 (Second bar of Health when below 25% Health), Kairei will engage on the following actions:
1. Cast her ultimate skill (Which also triggers Kairei’s character to appear) Dream Seal Slay, which deals heavy AOE room wide damage to both Reimu and her partner. This ability also removes positive buffs and has a chance to cause a debuff “Frightened”, which prevents the character from doing a melee attack or use Danmaku spells. You can still move or use items.
6. Does normal attack (Her melee attack range is literally up to 3 squares away from her, so consider this as a ranged attack).
Tips on the battle:
Kairei does a whole lot of room-wide AOE damage throughout the battle. In addition, some skills are mainly targeted at Reimu most of the time, although she does target your partner but not as much as she loves hitting Reimu, so ensure Reimu survives no matter what.
Ther Spirit Balls summoned throughout the battle will differ. At Phase 1, only one orb does one single zap , but will develop to being 2 Balls that does multiple hits. The troublesome part is that the balls if not cleared, will stack and increase in numbers and destroy you if the battle gets dragged too long. They can hit anyone in any distance so there is no way to avoid.
Talking about avoiding attacks, you should have played around with the combination function of the game by now. At this point, there will be Avoid Seal somewhere, which you can place in your armor. This will help you immensely in this battle especially against the Spirit Balls as they have low accuracy generally.
You are able to choose any of the 3 partners in the game, namely Marisa, Sakuya, Youmu or Raisen. I prefer using Youmu as she has the highest raw damage output among the partner list, although her range does fall short in this battle. You will have no fear in terms of clearing the Spirit Balls most of the time when Youmu uses her ultimate “Future Eternal Slash” on the enemies.
That said, put Youmu to be on the frontlines so that if she falter, you can utilize your Revival Card to resurrect her. As you are taking a lot of AOE damage, always keep a look out and gauge if Reimu can survive. Always prioritize her well-being first before the partner, even if you have to take several turns to use healing medicine to stabilize.
Ensure your health points are above 300 to be safe throughout the battle. Kairei will not hesitate to spam the AOE skills as well as to disrupt your momentum by teleporting around the map and casting her long range attacks that also debuffs you and your partner.
To counter the debuffs, you can either use Charms with combined seals that provide immunity to the status effects. Although there is no immunity to frighten. The sure way to clear off any negative statuses will be to use the Yagokoro Ointment Talisman or to store an item into a Total-Comfort Gap, so ensure you have some of those with you. There are no burning fields of attacks from Kairei so your Talismans will be fine.
Some essential Seals in this battle to have apart from the race Seals are the Cure Seals for the weapon that acts like a mini lifesteal every time you land an attack, as well as Reflect Seal for your armor, which reflects some damage taken back to the enemies. Especially when you can barely reach Kairei in the later phases, the tiny damage will stack up and be of use.
Upon defeating Kairei, you will receive this achievement.
Achievements List (Part 5)
For this final main story battle, ensure you have Shin Laevateinn and Light of the Absolute Secret God on both Reimu and your partner. You can opt for Divine Treasure -Dragon’s Neck Jewel for the raw defense as well. For the Charm, you can try to have all the immunity to the negative status effects of the game. Yuuma Toutetsu is of Youkai race and Okina Matara is of God race.
In Phase 1 (Yuuma Toutetsu will be the main foe but Okina will be around in the background), Yuuma will engage on the following actions:
1. Okina will cast Transform Backdoor Youkai and summon normal Youkai enemies (Ones you can see in normal dungeons) spread around the map.
2. Yumma will cast Overconsume. She literally absorbs and eats up one of the normal enemies if they are nearby her. This also enhances her bit by bit, adding up both offense and defense capabilities or may heal her. Yuuma will keep doing this if any enemies get too close. If she stacks up too much, she will turn into a giant version of herself and within the next stack or two, she will become almost invulnerable and her damage will be very high.
3. Yumma will cast Blood Draw “Gaia’s Blood”, which deals low damage to Reimu but this ability will be enhanced alongside the Overconsume stacks she Yuuma has.
4. Yuuma does a normal melee attack.
5. Yuuma will cast her ultimate skill (Which also triggers Yuuma’s character to appear) Greed Manifest “Gluttony That Should Not Exist in this World”, forcing everyone towards her and dealing low damage to the party. This means both Reimu and her partner, and all the Youkai summoned by Okina will be stuck to her, which makes it easy for Yuuma to cast Overconsume.
In Phase 2 (Okina herself will take the stage with her first bar of 100% Health), Okina will engage on the following actions:
1. Cast Transform Rear Youkai, summoning normal Youkai enemies (This time around, they are the stronger Youkai enemies you find in later dungeons) spread around the map. Okina will cast this rather often but the enemies actually help you in terms of recovering your Health Points, but they act as a blocker to reach Okina.
2. Cast Back Sign “Halo of the Secret God”, enhancing the summoned minions turning them to Giants, improved Speed, damage and defense and the ability to regenerate health every turn.
3. Does normal melee attack.
4. Cast her ultimate skill for this phase (Which also triggers Okina’s character to appear) Hidden Spacetime Fantasy Tour, teleporting herself to a fixed location in the northern end of the battlefield. Okina will not move but will still cast her abilities. She also gains immunity to negative status effects and receive a heavy buff to her defense. This will happen when Okina is at around 50 to 60% Health.
5. Cast Hidden Spring “April Wizard”, causing a possibility of Reimu and her partner to suffer from the softened negative status, reducing defense, as well as dealing low damage to the party.
6. Cast Hidden Summer “Scorch By Hot Summer”, dealing low damage to your party and burning all your Talisman and Food Items. This ability also causes random fire patches to spawn around the map. Standing in the fire patches will further burn your items and also deal fire damage. This affects the minions she summons and even herself should the fire spawn on her. The ability also removes the frozen effects for your items if they were affected by Hidden Winter “Black Snowman”.
7. Cast Hidden Autumn “Die of Famine”, dealing low damage to the party and summoning even more Youkai enemies (The enemies will be the strongest Youkai enemies you will find in the game).
8. Cast Hidden Winter “Black Snowman”, dealing low damage to the party and freezing the use of all your items and have a chance to slow everyone (Even the minions she summon). This ability also creates random frost air to spawn which will freeze your items should you step onto them. Some squares across the battlefield will also be frozen and block the path. Water puddles may also spawn. Kindly note the squares affected by the fire and the frost, will still remain throughout the battle.
In Phase 3 (Okina will be in her berserk stage with her second bar of 100% Health and her name will change to Ultimate Kairei Secret God Matara), Okina will engage on the following actions:
1. Cast Ultimate Proton Beam, which will deal low amount of damage to your party.
2. Cast Ultimate Secret God Dream Seal, targeting Reimu only and turning her health to 1 Health Point, and may inflict any other negative status in the game.
3. Cast Gateway to the Secret Danmaku Universe, which teleports your party close to the south of the map.
4. Cast Summon Kairei no Omiko, which causes a debuff her Okina herself, decreasing her defense, but summons Kairei no Omiko (Bascially fodder version of Kairei Shrine Maiden but they do still pack a punch). This ability starts with one Kairei summoned and as Okina falls to lower Health pool, the summons will be increased up to 3 per summon.
5. Cast her ultimate skill for this phase (Which also triggers Okina’s character to appear) Kairei Youkai Buster Discharge, which does high room-wide AOE damage to the party.
6. Cast True Shockwave, dealing moderate damage and has a chance to push Reimu and her partner many squares behind.
7. Does normal melee attack.
Tips on the battle:
For Yuuma and Okina Phase 2, you really want to try avoid using any consumables as by now you should be able to take advantage of summoned creatures as life-stealing fodder for your team. The negative statuses afflicted in these 2 phases are negligible, so you do not have to worry. That said, the summons ranging for all phases have their own skills that may hinder and debuff you, so be cautious.
For Phase 1, try to prevent Yuuma from absorbing too many minions summoned by Okina. You can rely on your trusty partner’s utimate skill or use your own AOE spell cards to deny. This is extremely important when Yuuma cast her ultimate skill.
For Phase 2, it will be a rather long drawn out battle but there is no berserk timer for boss battles in this fight, so take as long as you need and slowly wither down Okina. You probably do not need to bring any Talisman or Food items as they will be burnt to crisp.
Okina during Phase 2 will cast the rotation of her seasonal skills once she hits 50% health, and it will be a rinse and repeat. Take note when your items will be frozen and when you can use them to your advantage.
For Phase 3, Total-Comfort Gaps and E-Gaps are your friends as only Reimu or her partner can effectively hit her in the melee range. As Okina will basically try to push you back a lot of times, try to use your AOE spell cards or Danmaku abilites for Reimu and let your partner be the one who does the melee. As you have not used your items, you should probably have enough healing consumables to take Okina on.
To counter the debuffs, you can either use Charms with combined seals that provide immunity to the status effects. This is essential especially during Phase 3 after Okina uses Ultimate Secret God Dream Seal, making Reimu to 1 Health Point. If you are unlucky and do not have seal for Poison or Neurotoxin, you will likely perish. You can get Poison seal from Longevity Charm and Neurotoxin seal from Charred Riceballs.
By now, you should have most of the seals that will help you in this 3 Phase battle such as Vanquish Heal (Restores Health Points when defeating enemies), Critical Rate, Cure, One-Hit Kill, Danmaku Damage Up, for the weapon seals, and Counterattack, Relief (Reduces damage overall and reduces damage from skills that does true damage), Ranged Attack Barrier (Decreases Ranged Damage Received), Avoid (Evasion Rate), Reflect, for the armor seals. For Charms, you can focus on negative debuff resistances. and can add in Defense, Health, Attack and Danmaku Crits as well.
Upon defeating Okina for the second time, you will receive this achievement.
Achievements List (Part 6)
You will have to steal an item from the Dungeon Shop. This may take awhile it may take a couple of attempts.
There are a couple of items that are mandatory to make this achievement a possibility.
1. Shelter Gaps
2. Eye Drops
3. Luster Sign “Room of Light” Spell Cards
3. Leap “Dimension Connect” Spell Cards
The Shelter Gaps allow you to hide from the crazy strong Sumireko and Rinnosuke that are around and allows you potential time to cast escape or use your Leap “Dimension Connect” Spell Cards.
Eye Drops allow you to see all the traps in the floor. This is very helpful so that you won’t step on traps accidentally or go towards the one trap that matters, the Gust Trap.
Luster Sign “Room of Light” Spell Cards should be used at the start of the room to see if there are any Dungeon Shops for that floor, else you can move on to the next floor to try again. This works hand in hand well with Eye Drops as you would want to try and find a Gust Trap in the same room as the Dungeon Shop.
Leap “Dimension Connect” Spell Cards is a must-have whereby once you stole an item from the Dungeon Shop room in the floor, you will want to trigger the Gust Trap, which brings Reimu to a random spot in the floor. When that happens an image of an enraged Rinnosuke will occur and caged barriers will start to be depicted in your game.
This means Rinnosuke and the whole horde of Sumireko are coming to you. Both Rinnosuke and Sumireko are extremely overpowered, even stronger than any other enemies and bosses in the game.
During that time, you only have a few turns to make your escape. To be able to use Leap “Dimension Connect” Spell Card. you have to ensure your partner is dead. As such, you can either choose to enter the dungeon with Reimu only or take out the armor of your partner beforehand, so when the theft alert sounds, she will likely hit the floor in a turn. After which, use your Leap “Dimension Connect” Spell Cards and hope that a portal spawns. If it does, simply walk over to it and leave the floor. The achievement will be yours after.
Road to Power
The best place to grind the levels will be via Re: Ayakashi. This will give you a whole lot of floors with only Rank 4 enemies (The highest rank for Normal enemies in the game) before you reach the boss battles of Re: Moonlight and Place of Judgement.
The best way will be to have a whole bunch of Special Rice Balls with you. Use them at the start of every floor and keep using them until you have the Double XP buff. After which you can start grinding on the floor.
Do note that there are you can only stay on a single floor for some time as you will receive two levels of warning.
1. What amazing drive. There’s something dark on the wind… It’s a sign that we have less time on this floor now.
2. The dark winds are growing stronger! You can’t hold out like this. Get out of there!
You have a while to explore before between each phase of the warning signs. Be warned that if you hit the third warning, you will immediately die and lose the exp progress you have made. So be prepared to leave the floor once you see the second level warning sign.
There are a couple of enemies and traps that will cause some inconveniences such as the Elite Maid Fairy-sama that may change your Riceball to another random item. Burn Traps will burn your Special Rice Balls, making them useless in the XP run. Explosion traps will deal heavy damage to you and burn your Rice balls as well. Curse Traps will prevent you to use the item unless you have Doom Dispel “Sardine Head’ Spell Card to nullify the curse. Cash Swap Traps may end up selling one of your Special Rice ball and turn it to Yen. Land Mine Traps like Explosion or Burn Traps, will burn your Rice Balls. Mold Traps will turn the Rice Balls to its inedible version, making them useless.
However, there are good traps you would want to step on as well. Stepping on Summon Traps allows you to defeat more enemies for XP. If you step into a room with Pandemonium, after clearing the room, try to step on a Training Trap. This either grants you 1 level up or reduces your Health Points and Hunger to 1. A risky but a definite gamble to go for. Lastly, stepping on Trap Trap, allows more traps to spawn in the floor. As long as you have Eye-Drops, this should net as an overall positive trap as more traps means more chances of Summon Traps spawning for you. Just ensure you have fancy footwork to avoid the other traps.
And that’s it! Simply rinse and repeat and eventually you will hit level 99. Only Reimu needs to be at Level 99 for this achievement to pop up. So you don’t have to grind both Reimu and her partner to be both at that level.
Congratulations. This should be the last achievement you receive in this game as well!
Conclusion
Great graphics and music as well no doubt which is definitely a plus. The only downside with such games is that it’s pretty grindy and at times require good RNG that may make or break your experience. As long as you have the determination and patience, you will eventually get the 100% completion.
Thanks to everyone who read this guide and good luck with your 100% achievement completion.
