Welcome to my gaming guide on understanding starmap symbols in Starstruck Vagabond. I’ve noticed that many players are having trouble deciphering these symbols, so I’ve put together a straightforward explanation of each one. Enjoy and happy gaming!
First off, what are starmaps?
Welcome to 5harkke’s guide on starmap symbols.
Alot of this will be me showing the manual of Starstruck Vagabond and going into depth about each symbols which will probably be more screenshots from the game.
Star Map, not to be confused with the System Map. Is the map used to travel to each system to delivery goods, you can only access a location if you have a job to go to that area, otherwise it is locked off.
The different areas
On the system map they look like this and this:
Commerical cities:
Manual: “A commercial city is dominated by bureaucracy and admin, and is the place to go if you are in need of work, as you will find Freight offices through which interplanetary cargo deliveries are orchestrated.
You may also find local branches of the Oniris Venture Company, which usually also have paying work for space travellers.”
Industrial cities:
Manual: “An industrial city is set up for manufacturing and logistical facilities, and the spaceport will usually feature a shipyard, where you can purchase upgrades and cosmetic changes for your vessel.
There will also be repaint facilities allowing you to customise your ship’s internal and external decor.”
Residential cities:
Manual: “A residential city focuses on providing services for the benefit of individual citizens.
The spaceport will usually have a HOSPITAL (Medical), where you can restore your health, as well as luxury facilities for personal grooming – hairdressers; that also do skin colouring (Hair and Skin) and clothing shops (Fashion).”
More to come…
