My Vow to My Liege: Back To The Past – Achievement Guide (Wu Zixu)

I have been playing the game for around 19 hours and had certain troubles obtaining achievements for this game. I did some research and found out a way to get this particular achievement which was the most difficult to get for me (and some others)

I have tried to get this particular achievement in the English language version few times but no avail. What worked was playing in the Chinese version to get the achievement to pop up.

Requirements:

• A save somewhere where you can follow Wu Zixu route (My save has it exactly before the choices needed) inside the alternate/dream world.
• You will have to change language of the game to “Simplified Chinese” and play the save to unlock the achievement.
• A little bit of patience

Note: this guide is made with required research into the game by other players as well.

Okay before you change the game’s language to simplified Chinese, you probably will need to do a manual save at the point where the particular choices for the achievement begin.

So follow the Wu Zixu good ending route using a steam guide or the official walkthrough and save at the point where you get the first choice in the dream world in the ENGLISH VERSION

I didn’t have to start a whole new game in Chinese version for it and got the achievement just from the save which I did on the English version.

On the load screen make sure which page your particular save file for Wu Zixu route is located because you will have to load it in the chinese version of the game.

please note when you do that if you are an English reader then it will be difficult to navigate the game so its better to be familiar with the start menu (Load and Save) especially.

When you get to the title screen the second option is the “Load” and you can choose your save file from there. In my case my save file was 15 in page 5/10.

Even though the game is in Chinese now the save file information is in English as presented in the below screenshot

Changing the game language for your game is very easy but also it requires you re-downloading the game again.

Simply find the game in your in steam library, right click and go to properties.

From there under “General” tab you can find “Language” and select “Simplified Chinese” from the drop down menu.

Once you select that the steam client will volunteer to re-download the game which you should just let it do that.

The screenshot below is the specific place you need to look for under properties.

Okay so the choices will be in Chinese don’t forget that. I used the left and right (left card / right card) method corresponding to the choices in the English version and followed that in the Chinese version.

Make sure you load the correct save before going forward.

There will be single box choices, somewhere in the middle you have to just click on them to progress the story, I did not include them in the screenshot guide.

The achievement should pop up not at the ending of the whole game but as soon as you finish the last choice in the guide.

I did find a small error while navigating through the choices in the Chinese version of the game please note the screenshot below.

This won’t prevent you from moving forward, all i did was to put the game into “Skip all” mode or you can use “Ctrl” button and press “Enter” when this annoying dialog box came. It may pop up continuously and annoyingly but just press enter continuously and be patient a little bit.

As you can see from the screenshot also, it may seem like a gamescript error. Updating the game and perhaps changing system localization to simplified chinese may help. But i did not test any fixes for this and I cant be liable to anything that happens to your system.
