Hello gamers! Are you struggling to complete House Of Chavez? Look no further, as we have a full walkthrough guide for you. This article contains day by day instructions to help you progress through the game. However, be warned, it does include big spoilers for the story. So if you want to keep the surprises, this guide may not be for you. Let’s get started!
Day 1
The first part is rather straightforward and full of in-game tutorials, so I’ll quickly skip to the list of actions:
– Examine the roof to find the first clue.
– Right-click on your bag to reveal the key to open the door.
– Use the key on the door.
Once inside, examine the sideboard to get the photo of Maria and use the map to go to the graveyard. If you examine the tombs, you’re not going to find the right one.
So the solution is:
– Use Maria’s photo on a tomb (any tomb will work) to continue with the story.
After the cutscenes, you’ll be back home. Finish the “clean the web” minigame – if you don’t do it, you’ll miss the “Silke abs” CG, which would be a pity!
Day 2
previous games, picking the right answers will increase the rela�onship with a character).
Pick: Nice shorts.
Now you need to start the fire. Go outside, right to the shed, click the switch to turn the lights on.
Once inside, grab the hatchet and go le�, then le� to the dark wood. There, you have a limited amount of moves before a monster arrives, so if you want to get the achievement, just keep clicking some element (if you die, you can reload the game from the point you enter the dark woods).
In the woods, click on the rock on the right to get dry leaves. Then in the center, le� from the rock, to grab some twigs. Lastly, use your hatchet on the wood branch to get some wood logs.
Go back inside and place the three items in the fireplace (order is not important) to con�nue.
Examine the occult books, go outside, try to move into the backyard to trigger a cutscene. A�er this, you can access it.
Day 3
Use the map and go to the library. Examine some books (random, as you want) and speak with Luciana. Enter the archive, pick any choice for the dialogue, and access the old PC.
FROM NOW ON, ALWAYS GO AND READ THE NEWS ARTICLES EVERY DAY; THEY’LL UNLOCK CLUES.
Go back to the House of Chavez to trigger the date night. If you followed this guide, you can date both Silke and Dolores. But of course, you can also just date only one of them.
Attend Silke’s pub event (Silke only). Pick “Maybe it was a mistake”.
Call Dolores for ice-cream night: Pick “Argue with him”.
Choose: “Which part of Germany are you from?” Then “How do you know?” Followed by “Who is Tofu?” And finally, “Comfort her.”
Day 4
Once in the loft, examine the box and old boxes to get the scarf. Examine drawers. Go to the dining room. After the cutscene, examine all the photos on the right to unlock a clue.
Use the map, and as always, read all the articles in the library archive.
You can visit Dolores at the beach. Pick the choice “Tickle her”.
Go to Sombromar and enter the pub to speak with Silke.
Then the cutscene will continue with the Dolores sunset scene, pick the choice “Look at her”. Give her the scarf and pass the minigame.
Day 5
Use the screwdriver on the metal drawers, open it to find the pruning shears. Now go into the backyard of the house and complete the grass and rock cleaning minigame.
Then use the pruning shears on the tree vine and fence vines. Go back and after the cutscene pick the choice “You seem more relaxed”. Then go back into the shed and speak with Bruno. Go to Sombromar, and after the Dolores cutscene pick “I am not sure I believe you”.
Then there’s the choice that will affect your romance:
– Tell Silke to go, if you want to romance Dolores.
– Tell Dolores to go, if you want to romance Silke.
For this guide, I’ll describe the main plot event day by day, and the choices to pick for Silke and Dolores to reach a 100 relationship (the max).
Go back home, find Bruno in the utility shed, and give him the package.
Day 6
For SILKE’s path: go to Miramar de Santa Lucia, examine the tree. Silke will appear and after the cutscene, pick “Never having to look back and regret something”.
For DOLORES’s path: go to the Playa to talk with her, and pick the option “Ask about that article”.
After you get lost in the hospital, examine the items in the abandoned room. Make sure to wait some seconds for the fear value to go down. The most important items are the binders and the water pipe. Examine also the papers on the bottom-left to find a clue about Sergio’s past. Then go back home. Go into the backyard garden and place the lantern.
For SILKE’s path: Pick “Ask about that article” (you read the articles in the library, right?). Then you’ll find yourself in Silke’s house. Turn on the lamp, then examine the DVD collection. Then pick the popcorn to trigger the scene.
For DOLORES’s path: After the cutscene, pick the option “Kiss her”.
Day 7
For SILKE’s path: visit her at the pub. Pick the choice “About Nightmares…”
For DOLORES’s path: head to the beach, and pick the choice “When did you find out?”
You should have already reached 100 relationship with Silke/Dolores with the choices made so far!
Pay a visit also to Miramar de Santa Lucia, speak with Sergio. Then give him the old paper you found in the abandoned hospital room to unlock another clue.
Go back home, and if you kept reading all the articles in the library archive, now in the dining room, you can examine the group photo to find a letter of Clara’s son Julio attached to the back.
Go to the cemetery, speak with Clara, and give her Julio’s letter to unlock another clue.
Spoiler: doing both Clara and Sergio’s “sidequests” will also give you more time during the final part of the story when they assault the House of Chavez!
Go to the hospital, after the cutscenes go back to the Playa to find Bruno flirting with Luciana.
Back home, if you solved the runic puzzle, you can now do the songwriting minigame. It’s worth doing it to unlock a nice scene later.
The correct order for the songwriting minigame is: 1. Tonight, I will be dreaming of you – 2. Reunite With the memory of you – 3. Cause one night just wasn’t enough – 4. Now all I want is to feel your touch – 5. My mind is feeling a rush – 6. Te necesito, y te quiero – 7. Cuando te vuelvo a ver? – 8. Oh, All I want is to feel you here – 9. He estado pensando en ti – 10. I’m ready to give you all of me.
Now, go to town, and wait for Silke/Dolores at the fountain. Going to the hospital alone right now will lead to a death ending!
Once inside the hospital, click on the “medical instruments” to get the sharp object. Use it on the filing cabinets on the right. Read the paper on the bottom-right, then proceed to unlock both A-C and M-O drawers.
If you followed the previous instructions and read the archive articles, you’ll find out that both Silke and Dolores have been in the hospital years ago.
In the bathtub room, examine everything until Garcia and Ramirez show up. The choice doesn’t matter, pick whatever you want.
Day 8
For SILKE: Pick the “Should I be worried about this bat-woman?” choice.
For DOLORES: Pick the “Your presence is a gift” choice.
Go back inside to the kitchen and listen to Bruno’s request. Go back to Sombromar, then to the general store. As always, read the new articles in the library!
Go back home and give the croissants to Bruno. Now the date with Silke/Dolores will unlock.
For SILKE: talk with her, then enter the car. Enjoy the love scene. To escape the sinking car, first unfasten the seatbelts. Then open the center console. Grab the rock and use it on the car window two times. Lastly, click on the car window to get out.
For DOLORES: talk with her. Enjoy the love scene. To escape the burning apartment, open the bathroom’s door, grab the curtains, give them to Dolores, drag the improvised rope to the bathroom to wet it, and finally click on the rope to get out.
Once back home, go into the backyard to end the day.
Day 9
SILKE: Go to Charca Serena. You can first visit Sombromar and the pub for some scenes but aren’t required.
Go back home, when Luciana shows up pick “No, she’s not here”. This will grant you more time in the final scene.
After several cutscenes, in the loft examine the boxes. Use scissors on the blanket on the right. More cutscenes. In the basement, examine the newelpost. Click on the wooden panels. The right date is 1906-05-17 (on the left at the center).
Then click on the door that appeared in place of the wardrobe.
Congratulations, you’ve survived House of Chavez!
P.S. To get the alternate ending, simply keep the relationship less than 100 with Silke/Dolores, and your waifu will sadly die on the last day. The whole ending scene will play differently because you’ll find out that she died. Sad ending beware!
Unlock the songwriting minigame
Check the mysterious cabinet. Click on the table on the right.
Go to Sombromar and enter the pub to speak with Silke. Show the old letter to her to get a clue.
Go back to the House of Chavez, enter the house, and go up to the loft. Read the historical book. Then, right-click the letter to examine and decipher it – simply click the runes to translate the letter. If you do it correctly, you’ll unlock another cutscene, and now you can go back outside and a new “examine door” action should be available.
In the puzzle, rotate the runes correctly to unlock the cabinet.
Congratulations, now you found the guitar and later you can do the songwriting minigame!
