If you are looking to earn every achievement in the base game of Cuphead, this guide is here to help. Please be aware that the DLC achievements are not included in this guide. Lets start.
Taking Names
This one is VERY simple, All you have to do is beat/defeat a boss, It doesn’t matter who it is, Just beat one boss to get this achievement.
Perry Persistance
This one is also very simple, To unlock this one you have to Complete 20 Perry’s, A.K.A. You have to DO 20 perry’s, (If you don’t know, You can perry anything that’s Pink, Every Boss & Run n’ Gun has at least ONE perryable thing.)
Perry Performance
This one is just like “Perry Persistance” Except now you must complete 100 Perry’s, Now if you already completed Perry Persistance you’ll only need to complete 80 Perry’s.
Ceramic Strike
This one might be complicated if you’re first starting out, But basically, Each weapon/gun/shooter (Which are things like the “Peashooter” and “Spread”) Have an “Extra” Move, Which if you’re playing on a controller is normally set to “A”, But I don’t know what it is for Keyboard (Just look in the controls menu) And this EXTRA move is a Powerful and unique attack that you can use when you get a “Card” (You get cards when you 1. Attack something like an enemy or boss. 2. Perry something. or 3. Use the charm “Coffee” which fills them up slowly but automatically) Your player can hold p to FIVE cards, BUT if you get a Special/Super Art from a mausoleum and equip it, You can NOT use the EX move when you have full cards due to it using up the Super Art, So basically you can only use EX Moves when you have 1, 2, 3, or 4 Cards… But back to the achievement, To get this one, You must kill a Boss with it, It can be tricky, but if the timing is just right, and the boss is at low enough health, You’ll be able to kill him with an EX Move.
Porcelain Power
This one is JUST like “Ceramic Strike” But instead of killing a boss with an EX Move, You have to kill a boss with a Super Art, which you get in Mausoleums, there is 1 Mausoleum in every Isle except for Inkwell Hell (A.K.A. the final area), This one is Honestly easier then “Ceramic Strike” Due to it dealing more damage so there’s a Bigger window for you to get this one.
Bouncing Ball
This one is a little tricky, TO get this achievement you have to Perry Five times in a row without hitting the ground, One of my best tricks for doing this is 1. Perry Five Ghosts in a Row in the Third Mausoleum (Careful case you can only try a mausoleum ONCE) or 2. Go to the level “Carnival Kerfuffle” in Inkwell Isle 2 and Perry the pink balloon at the start five times.
Perfect Run
This ones difficulty depends on how good at the game you are, But to get this achievement you have to beat Either a Boss or Run N’ Gun level without getting hit a SINGLE time, I would recommend trying this one with “The Root Pack” Since they’re one of the easiest bosses in the game.
Sheriff
This achievement is probably easier said then done, To get this one, You must get an A-Rank or Higher on all levels in Inkwell Isle 1, Which means you must get either an (A-, A, A+, or S rank) on THE ROOT PACK, GOOPY LE’ GRANDE, HILDA BERG, CAGNEY CARNATION, And RIBBY AND CROAKS.
Boss
This ones the same as the last one, All you have to do is get either an “A-, A, A+, or S Rank” on Baroness von bon bon, Beppi the Clown, Djimmi the Great, Grim matchsticks, and Wally Warbles.
Mayor
This ones the same as the last 2, For this achievement you must get an “A-, A, A+, or S Rank” on “Rumor Honey bottoms”, “Captain Briney Beard”, “Cala maria”, “Sally Stageplay”, “Dr. Khals Robot” And “Werner Werman”.
A Walk In The Park
This ones stupidly simple, All you must
A Day At The Fair
This ones the same as the last, All you have to do is Beat every boss in Inkwell Isle 2, Doesn’t matter the score.
A Trip Down Town
Once again, Just defeat every Boss in Inkwell Isle 3! (Doesn’t matter the score)
Tip: I would recommend using the Charge Shot + Spread, as well as Super Art 1 + Smoke Bomb.
Tip 2: NEVER use Smoke Bomb on Airplane levels, it will have no effect, I would recommend using Coffee.
Magician Lord
This achievement is pretty straightforward, All you have to do is obtain every Super Art, If you don’t know where to find these, There is a White Building (A.K.A. a Mausoleum) in every World besides Inkwell Hell, If you play these levels you will have to Perry a bunch of ghosts in them (WARNING: The mausoleums get harder as you go on with the game) If you aren’t to good with Perrying, I would recommend either 1. Use the charm “Sugar” For a free auto Perry, or 2. Get a second player to help you out. Now keep in mind that you can only play these levels once, (If you die you get to retry though) So any Perry achievements you wanna get, Remember you can retry the level in-game at any point.
Tip: The Mausoleums will look like this.
Coffers Full
To earn this achievement you have to Collect all 30 Coins scattered through each Run N’ Gun level, There are 5 Coins in each level and can be a little hidden sometimes, If you can’t find a couple of the coins, I would recommend this video by “” All credit goes to him for his tutorial!
(P.S. If the video does not work, Please leave a comment and I’ll fix it as soon as possible)
Butter-and-Egg Man
This one is very very simple, All you must do is Purchase everything in Porkrind’s Emporium/Porkinds Shop/ The Shop, To do this, you must collect EVERY coin in the game, If you don’t know where some are, You might wanna check out the chapter “High Roller”.
Casino Night
This one’s difficulty again depends on your skill! To unlock this achievement all you have to do is Defeat/Beat King Dice (A.k.a. Complete the Casino), Which could be the easiest achievement for you!, Or the hardest…
Tip for King Dice: The route I’d go is (1,2, or 3, Depending on who has the extra health) and then 4, SAFE, 8 or 9 (Nines longer but easier)
King
This one is very simple, All you have to do is get an A-, A, A+, or S Rank on King Dice and The Devil (A.K.A. Get an A- Rank or higher on all Bosses in Inkwell Hell.).
Souls Saved
This one’s difficulty depends on how you’ve played the game. This could be the easiest thing ever for you, or your WORST nightmare. If you don’t know already to get to the last area of the game (Inkwell Hell) You HAVE to beat all other bosses on Normal mode, This means you can’t beat the game on Simple mode, Simple mode is normally just a practice mode, So I hope you haven’t been playing the game on simple mode this whole time… But if you HAVEN’T Been playing the game on SM (Simple Mode) Then to get this achievement, All you have to do is just beat the game! (Or at least beat the game on normal mode.) But we’ll get back to that.
Put on a Show
Now this achievement can be a little hard at first, depending on the boss you try to get it on, (I would recommend doing The Root Pack/Botanic Panic for this one) To earn this achievement you must get an S-Rank on a Boss (Keep in mind I specifically said BOSS), And if you don’t know HOW to get an S-Rank I’ll give you some instructions…
TO earn an S-Rank you must:
– Beat a Boss Under 2:00 Minutes
– Beat a Boss without taking a hit (Or if you’re using a charm that gives you more health) Beat a boss with 3 Hearts remaining
– Use 6 Cards/Specials (This means either Using 2 Super Arts, 1 Super Art and 1 EX Move, or 6 EX Moves)
– Get 3 or more Parrys in a Bossfight
And keep in mind you have to do ALL of these things in ONE boss battle, I know it seems tough but it isn’t that bad, At least compared to some other achievements…
Beat the Devil at His Own Game
Remember when I said you specifically had to beat the game on NORMAL mode earlier?
Well that’s because this achievement involves you having to beat the game on EXPERT mode, Now you might be thinking: “But there isn’t an EXPERT mode, Its just Simple and Normal?” Well to Unlock EXPERT mode you have to beat the game on Normal mode, But I AM guessing you’ve already done that… Right?
Well if you have, then this achievement is going to be a PAIN the first time around, but if you get through you’ll practically be a Cuphead PRO… So be prepared to rage… A lot.
Cutting Corners
This one is a pretty sneaky little achievement, But its probably the easiest of them all.
All you gotta do for this one is find the shortcut in Inkwell Isle 1 thats behind the river.
Bravo Zulu P-26
To get this achievement you have to beat a boss using the mini-plane bullets.
Now you’re probably thinking (THAT’S IMPOSSIBLE!!!) And honestly… You WOULD be right… If it weren’t for the trusty internet, Yup that’s right, there’s a little TRICK that almost EVERYONE uses.
By going into the King Dice fight (No matter the difficulty) You can go to Mini-Boss 6 (A.K.A. The Skeleton Racing mini boss) and use the mini bullets on him, It’s SUCH a cheat that is the most useful thing ever, Now don’t get me wrong, It’s still pretty hard to do it, But it’s so much better than any other option.
High Roller
For this achievement you must collect EVERY coin in the game, which means getting all the coins in the Run n’ Gun Stages, AND the secret coins hidden throughout the map. For hints on these two separate sets of Coins, I’d recommend going to the other Sections in this guide about them.
Pacifist
Get ready for a Run n’ Gunning Adventure, Cause this is the Hardest achievement in the game (According to Steam) And it makes sense, Cause this Achievement is a NIGHTMARE.
To get this one, You have to beat EVERY SINGLE Run n’ Gun level… Without killing ANYTHING!
Which means you basically can’t even use your gun, This is such a Long, Hard, And Complex achievement that I can’t even fit it into just Words and Text, I would just look up a YouTube Video If I were you.
Rolling Sixes
This achievement’s difficulty depends on your Parrying Skills, Cause for this one you have to Defeat King Dice without taking a hit, Now keep in mind this doesn’t mean you have to never take a hit on the Mini-Bosses, This achievement ONLY requires you to not take a hit on King Dices part of the fight, That means once you complete the board/challenge/mini-bosses.
Selling Out
This achievement is ALSO extremely easy, The only thing you have to do is Click the “YES” Option when you get to the devil. ITs seriously THAT simple.
Swing You Sinner
This achievement is basically just “Beat the game on any difficulty”.
All you have to do is Beat/Defeat the Devil, That simple… Unless you suck at the game (Then in that case I feel you man)
